From introduction: This final report .is organized in two logical sections: (a) Volume I, containing the survey description, specifications, data processing methods, interpretation methods, regional geologic review and regional survey results and (b) one volume, Volume II, for each of the three quadrangles covered by the Raton Basin Project Area. Each Volume II contains a detailed geologic summary, interpretation report, standard deviation maps, pseudo-contour maps, interpretation map, flight line and geologic base map, individual corrected profiles, computer map unit histograms and statistical tables.

Aerial image shows the result of an airborne radioactive survey over an area of 940 square miles in Apache County, Arizona with the approximate location of radioactivity anomalies found. Text describes methods used and discusses the anomalies.

"The purpose of this report is to present the results of an inspection performed at Laguna Army Airfield (LAAF), Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona, during December 1972. The inspection was limited to visual observations, and no tests were conducted on any of the pavement facilities. A layout of the airfield is shown in plate 1" (p. 1).

Introduction: Studies of uranium-vanadium occurrences in the Four Corners region show that, with the exception of the Lukachuai area, all of the major deposits in the Morrison formation are grouped around the various igneous masses which are scattered irregularly throughout the Colorado Plateau. The pattern of deposition varies from mountain group to mountain group and each will be described separately. Maps accompany this report to supplement the descriptions of ore occurrences in the vicinity of the La Sal, Abajo, Carrizo, and Henry mountains. Elsewhere, it is believed that a written description will suffice.

Abstract: Napier Drilling Company of Dallas, Texas drilled 53,998.0 feet for exploration purposes, under Contract No. AT(05-1)-256. This footage was drilled in 508 holes during the period from June 21, 1954 through May 13, 1955.

Abstract: Hunt's Mesa was examined on June 2 and 3, 1951, by the writer assisted by R. C. Cutter. Two channels were located and studied. Outcrops of the channels are mineralized, the mineralization being of the copper-uranium variety. There are indications that an appreciable quantity of ore can be found by exploration drilling. A program of 25,000 feet of wagon drilling is recommended.

This investigation was made to determine whether a diamond drilling program is warranted in the search for ore, and to provide basic data to guide such drilling.

Abstract: Yazzie Mesa was examined in May 1951, by the writer, assisted by R. C. Cutter. The mesa shows one main channel deposit and three minor channels. The main channel appears to be a northern extension of a channel deposit being worked by the Vanadium Corporation of America at their Monument No. 2 mine. Two samples taken on the south outcrop of the main channel assayed 0.16% U308 over 4.5 feet and 0.80% U308 over 1 foot. The area is recommended for 10,000 feet of exploration drilling. It is not intended to recommend this footage as a separate contract unit as this report covers only a small part of an area in which drilling will be recommended in forthcoming reports.

From abstract: This data report presents results of ground water and stream/surface sediment reconnaissance in the National Topographic Map Series (NTMS) Grand Canyon 10 x 20 quadrangle. Surface samples (sediment) were collected from 1013 sites.

Supplementary data containing tabulated elemental concentration data in surface sediment and ground water samples, in addition to areal distribution maps, histograms, and cumulative frequency plots, and a user's guide to accompany a hydogeochemical and stream sediment reconnaissance report of the Grand Canyon 1° x 2° NTMS Area, Arizona.

Abstract: Field and laboratory data are presented for 405 water samples and 736 sediment samples from the Silver City Quadrangle, New Mexico; Arizona. Uranium values have been reported by Los Alamos National Laboratory in Report GJBX-69(78). The samples were collected by Los Alamos National Laboratory; laboratory analysis and data reporting were performed by the Uranium Resource Evaluation Project at Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

Data collected as part of the hydrogeochemical and stream sediment reconnaissance for the Silver City quadrangle, New Mexico including laboratory data on waters and sediments as well as field data.
