The lantern has a raised base with a candle socket in the middle, and the glass chimney is securely attached to the base. A frame and handle is attached to the base and top of the chimney.

Patent for a preserving apparatus. This invention is designed to impregnate articles of food with preservatives or saccharine substance for the use of making catsups, nut syrups, fruit candy, and other like items. Illustration included.
