Patent for improvements to cotton cleaners and feeders, including illustrations

Patent for a life-boat that improves on a previous patent (No. 512,591) for a hydraulic propelling device and adapts the jet propulsion means to a life boat. The life-boat is made to have compartments that, when one compartment gets crushed, the others remain afloat. The water goes into the stove or crushed compartment and can be used to propel the boat forward. The boat also has a system of bulkheads on the roof of the boat, each independent of the others and has valved pipes. Independent oil-holding tanks connected with valved pipes to the hydraulic main pipes, and with valved pipes going outside the boat so they can be emptied in case of emergency.

Patent for a kettle furnace of simple construction; a kettle furnace comprising a sheet metal member having bolt openings disposed in pairs near the vertical edge.

Patent for "new and useful Improvement in Cotton-Cultivator," (lines 4-5) including instructions and illustrations.

Patent for an adaptation of burners to use semi-viscous liquids "such as, crude oil, coal or gas tar, and the like" (pg 1, 7-8).

Patent for an incubator that automatically maintains at least a minimum temperature, with the option to set and maintain a higher temperature, with adjustment of temperature from outside the incubator. The incubator uses electric heat.

Patent for a knee protector design "which when worn will not inconvenience the wearer when standing or walking" (lines 10-12). Illustrations are included.

Patent for leg-protectors or overalls for cotton-pickers to wear to protect them from the ground. Waterproof material covers the legs of the wearer with leather reinforcement outside the knees. There is spacing around the waste for a belt, and regular fabric forms the rest of the overalls.

Patent for a vehicle spring with telescoping casings.

Patent for a liquid fuel burner that mixes air with the fuel.

Patent for improvements to a single-wheel velocipede.

Patent for "improvements in saddle-trees; and the invention consists in constructing the forward ends of the trees with the hinged connection between its sides, to allow lateral adjustment of the sides to and from each other..." (lines 10-13) including instructions and illustrations.

Patent for an improvement on a previous patent application (Serial No. 552,724), of which Patterson was an assignee. The improved and simply designed machine has a variety of assets, the main goal being to produce bats of uniformly thick and clean cotton.

Patent for a storage-condenser and lint-cotton conveyer based off two previous patents, one that the inventor was assignee of, Serial No. 552,724, the other one that the inventor submitted an application for, Serial No. 563,386. This patent simplifies the above patents and is meant to efficiently cleans the cotton, "to avoid the employment of the rotary foraminous drums or cylinders" (lines 29-30), to draw out the dirt with the air, and to regulate the amount of cotton that is supplied to the cotton compress.

Patent for mold, which will be used for mold boards and holding devices.

Patent for a medicating and massaging appliance. This invention is intended for use in application with the eyes, ears, etc. Illustration included.

Patent for the design of an improved coffee and tea pot with an internal water reservoir, dripping cup for coffee or tea, gauge for water level, and two separate valves for the hot water and resulting coffee or tea. Includes illustration of both a sectional and horizontal elevation of coffee-pot design.

Patent for an evaporative cooler. Illustrations included.

Patent for "a projectile adapted for use in guns having an elliptical and twisted bore" with an illustration.

Patent for a new and improved harrow. This design "has relation to that class of rotary harrows having arms provided with and extending radially from a common center, a track-ring connected to the upper side of the harrow-arms, upon which work friction-rollers connected to the seat-support. It is the object of the invention to improve the construction of the harrow-arms which carry the teeth, and the manner of connecting them to a common center, whereby the above class of harrows are materially increased in efficiency, much stronger, and more durable" (lines 12-24).

Patent for an improved Ice Breaking Machine. This new design has movable plates that allow for the ice to be broken up into various sizes as desired by the user. It is also of a simpler construction than earlier machines.

Patent for "improvements in Water-Feeding Devices" (lines 5-6) to "adjust the rate of discharge of liquid...[and] whose adjusting means shall be capable of accurate regulation to vary the amount of liquid discharged in a given time" (lines 21-24) including illustrations.

Patent for shade and curtain brackets. This invention allows the brackets at opposites sides of the window frame to be easily adjusted to receiver shade rollers or curtain poles.

Patent for certain new and useful improvements in roller cotton compresses, including instructions and illustrations.
