Patent for improvement upon a combination-lock.

Patent for a new and improved cultivator. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with the base . . . of the slotted plate secured thereto, the strip on the rear side of the said plate, the blade having apertures and threaded bolts for adjusting the said blade" (lines 96-100). It further consists in "rear cutters or scrapers on the landside" (line 1).

Patent for a new and improved churn. This design consists in "[t]he combination of the inner shell or cream-receptacle having the pipe formed therewith, and with the ring near its upper end, the outer shell having its upper end contracted to engage the ring of the cream-receptacle and inclose the pipe, and provided with the side opening at its upper end, and a valve located in the pipe to open and close by the action of the dasher moving in the cream-cylinder" (lines 1-10).

Patent for a new and improved combination chiffarobe and wash stand. This design is "constructed with a main wardrobe section provided with hinged upper doors having lower ledges or shelves, respectively, and bureau and wash-stand structures hinged at opposite sides of the wardrobe below its doors and adapted when closed to close the lower front part of the wardrobe, and said door-ledges forming top covers to the wash-stand and bureau" (lines 31-40).

Patent for a new and improved barrel. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with the barrel-head having the opening, of the cover adapted to close said opening, the bolt extending through said cover and into the barrel, the clamping bar longer than the width of said opening in the barrel-head, said bar being centrally pivoted by a rivet to the lower end of said bolt, and a nut screwed upon the upper end of said bolt for clamping said cover in position" (lines 16-25).

Patent for a new and improved baby jumper. This design consists in "the combination, with the vertically-resilient supporting-rod having a frame swiveled on its lower end, of the supporting garment adapted to be fastened around the infant and comprising the waist to be buttoned around the body, the pants depending from the waist and having the front flap and the side flaps adapted to be buttoned together in front of the infant, and the skirt attached to the waist at the top of the pants and hanging around the said pants, the upper edge of the waist being attached to the lower ends of [the] cords" (lines 1-13).

Patent for a new and improved cotton-sweep. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with the frame, having the longitudinal beams and with the detachable shanks of the blades or points each composed of the outer long arm and the inner short arm, making the front angle of about forty-five degrees with each other, and having their lower front edges sharpened" (lines 83-90).

Patent for a new and improved baling press. This design consists in "the frame, drum, the power-ropes to be wound thereon, and the platen combined with the levers having rounded upper and lower ends to operate in rounded sockets in the said platen and the upper part of the frame and the toggle-joints near the centers of the said levers, comprising the rounded projection on one of the members adapted to fit a corresponding cavity or recess in the adjacent end of the other member, the lateral ears and the pin to pass through said ears and the rounded projection" (lines 12-23).

Patent for "an improvement in combined cotton chopping, planting, and cultivating machines," (lines 9-11) including illustrations.

Patent for a Combined Revolving Harrow and Cultivator that is used to cultivate cotton, corn and nature like plants.

Patent for a new and improved axle. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with an axle having a seat at its outer end and a seat located in from said outer end, of the spindle having its shank provided with a threaded inner end, and nuts turned on said inner end on opposite sides of the inner seat, by which the spindle may be adjusted to and held in any desired position" (lines 79-85).

Patent for improvements in wagon-breaks, with the object of providing simple, effective, and durable means by which the breaks may be applied by either foot or hand power (lines 8-12). Additionally, provides "improved means for altering the power of the breaks" (lines 18-19).

Patent for a new and improved machine for putting ties on bales. This design consists in a "frame-work which is to be placed across the bale . . . a shaft journaled in the frame and provided with a reel at each end, and pawls and ratchets with hooked ropes or chains . . . a double rope which is to be passed around the bale . . . and suitable U-shaped hooks . . . to provide a machine whereby cotton and other bales can be compressed at that point where the tie has come off, so as to allow another tie to be placed around the bale, and thus prevent the loss of material" (lines 16-33).

Patent for improvements in the design and construction of machines for shucking and shelling corn.

Patent for a new and improved back-band buckle and hook. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with the buckle formed with the central cross-bar having the teeth and having the side hooks and having the outwardly-projecting tongue formed with the transverse aperture at its lower end, of the hook-plate formed with the reduced upper ends and the hook at its lower end having the opposite slots, and the locking key" (lines 14-21).

Patent for a new and improved motor. This design consists, "with the frame having the side and end slots, of the two drive-wheels and their springs, the movable spring-actuated shaft having the central pinion, the pivoted lever, the catch of the same, the crank-shaft formed with the central crank and having the pinion, the connecting-pitman, the pivoted adjustable fan-rod formed with the series of apertures near its upper end and along its central part, the adjustable weight, and the connecting-rod" (lines 116-126).

Patent for a new and improved plow. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with the plow-beam, of the staple secured to the plow-beam, the curved shank provided at its upper front end with the triangular loop having notches on its lower edge, which engage with the said staple, the bolt pivoted in the said plow-beam and connected to the rear portion of the shank under the handles, and the blades secured to the lower front end of shank under the staple" (lines 72-81).

Patent for a new and improved fire-escape. This design "relates to that class of fire-escapes which embody a long sack or flexible tube mounted upon a frame adapted to be secured in a window and permit the passage of the occupants of the burning building to the ground through said sack or tube. The object of [the] invention is to provide a simple and improved fire-escape of this class which will possess advantages in point of inexpensiveness, ease of application, and general efficiency, and which may be conveniently transported and occupy but little space when not in use" (lines 8-20).

Patent for improvements in the construction and design of car heaters for locomotives.

Patent for a new and improved plow-point. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with the double mold-board rigidly fixed to the curved beam in the rear of the lower end thereof, of the point having symmetrical corners and lugs adapted to pass beneath the front edge of said mold-board and prevent rocking of the point upon the beam, to which alone it is attached, and bolts securing said point in position" (lines 65-73).
