From introduction: The Cordilleran Foreland (King. 1951, p. 58-62; Horberg and others, 1949, p. 192194) forms a broad north-south belt, parallel to and east of the Cordilleran geanticline (fig. 1), in which the predominant geologic structure is a series of anticlinal mountains and broad asymmetric basins that contrast sharply with the folds and overthrusts related to the Cordilleran geanticline. A tectonic map of most of the Cordilleran Foreland (fig. 2) is being compiled as an aid to study the geologic setting of uranium deposits within the region, and to determine what relationships may exist between the distribution of uranium deposits and the regional tectonic pattern (Osterwald, 1955). The map will show the distribution of faults, uranium deposits, areas of volcanic activity, and crestlines and troughs of folds.

From abstract: Results of a reconnaissance geochemical survey of the Lincoln Quadrangle are reported. Field and laboratory data are presented for 577 groundwater and 754 stream sediment samples. Statistical and areal distributions of uranium and possible uranium-related variables are displayed. A generalized geologic map of the survey area is provided, and pertinent geologic factors which may be of significance in evaluating the potential for uranium mineralization are briefly discussed.

From Introduction: "The Hot Springs Quadrangle covers an area of approximately 18,500 km2 and is in southwestern South Dakota and northwestern Nebraska between latitudes 43º to 44ºN. and longitudes 102º to 104ºW. (Fig. 1). The quadrangle was evaluated at the surface and in the subsurface to a depth of 1500 m to identify geologic environments and delineate areas that exhibit characteristics favorable for uranium deposits."

Data collected as part of a hydrogeochemical and stream sediment reconnaissance for the Lincoln NTMS quadrangle in Kansas and Nebraska including laboratory data on well water and stream sediments as well as field data.
