Patent for improvements in cotton-presses, in which “it comprises two presser-rollers between which the cotton as it comes from the gin, is compressed, yielding bearings for one of the said presser-rollers, two guard-bars, one for each presser-roller, to prevent the cotton being carried out by the rollers, the ends of the guard–bars being threaded to receive nuts by means of which the attachment is clamped to the baling-box, and a conveyer to transfer the cotton from the gin to the said rollers.” (Lines 22-32) Illustration is included.

Patent for "an open-sided vent-passage at the neck of the bottle, thus permitting the formation thereof at the time the bottle is blown and rendering the construction more simple and economically produced" (lines 16-20).

Patent for box for meat and oil presses. This box prevents meat from adhering to the box by using a lining, preferably sheet metal (p. 2). This keeps the box from breaking.

Patent for a draft producing device. This invention is placed under the eye of a kiln or under a boiler to increase air to the furnace. Illustration included.

Patent for a new and useful improvements in "elevated double-track electric car lines and car and electric-wire supports combined, including instructions and illustrations" (line 5 - 7).

Patent for a new and improved hame fastener. This design consists, "with the bar provided with a rack and longitudinal ways, of the housing provided at each end with downwardly and inwardly projecting lugs engaging said ways, and a spring provided with a stop, the link seated in a groove on the housing provided with a finger-hold, and an offset on said link adapted to strike against a projection on the spring for limiting the movement of said link" (lines 64-73).

Patent for a new machine for automating the production of D-handles, which will operate continuously, set the workflow pace, and form a smooth inner rounded part of the grip.

Patent for improving the regulating of asphalt and concrete mixers.

Patent for a non-refillable bottle. The invention "relates to bottles in general, and more particularly to that class known as "non-refillable" bottles, and has for its object to provide a cheap and simple device of this nature that when once emptied cannot be refilled either by floating, by exhausting the air therefrom, or by pouring thereinto" (lines 11-17). Patent for an upright piano. This piano's construction provides a "case in which warping of the sides and fingerboard support will be prevented, in which convenient racks for holding music in use may be provided, in which the music may be continuously arranged, so as to be readily accessible, and in which the sounding board and string-carrying frame by me readily inserted and removed and may be held firmly in place." Patent for a new and improved stirrup. This design is "to provide a stirrup of simple and inexpensive construction, to form the buckle for attaching the side straps integral with the hanger in such position that the stirrup will hang at right angles to the saddle-skirts, and, further, to hinge or pivot the foot-rest at one end to the hanger and supported at its opposite end by means of a spring-controlled catch that automatically releases the foot-rest by means of a lever and prevents the rider's foot from hanging in the stirrup and the rider being dragged should he [or she] be thrown from [the] horse" (lines 17-29).

Patent for a new and improved straw cutter. This design "relates to certain improvements in straw-cutters; and it consists in the [novel] construction and arrangement of parts" (lines 13-15). The novel construction and arrangement of parts means that "[t]he machine is simple, durable, and inexpensive in construction, will not readily get out of repair, and will perform the necessary work in an efficient manner" (lines 1-4).
