Patent for a simple and durable churn that quickly makes butter. The butter is churned by pumping a lever, which is connected to a strap that is wrapped around a rod, the rod goes into the container holding the cream and has hoops attached to it inside the container, and the pumping action makes the hoops quickly move back and forth.

Patent for a new and improved smoke and cinder conductor. This design "has for its object to provide a simple and efficient conducting mechanism to be attached to the cars, and provided with an improved coupling device at its ends, by which a coupling can be automatically effected with the conducting mechanism of an adjoining car" (lines 11-17).

Patent for an animal poke that is worn on the head of the animal to prevent it from breaking or going underneath wire fences.

Patent for "an improved center foot or standard which is adapted to be readily attached to and detached from a beam or beams of a cultivator adjusted thereon and adapted for the attachment of a shovel, plow, or sweep of any kind required" (lines 8-15).

Patent for a new and improved churn. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with a suitable frame having a fly-wheel mounted in bearings thereof, and a wrist-pin on said fly-wheel, of the lever pivoted to the frame at one end" (lines 95-98). Further, it consists in "carrying a pivoted dasher at its other end, said lever having a slot or opening to receive the wrist-pin, a crank-arm, a treadle pivoted to the frame at one end, and carrying a handle at its other end, and a rod connecting the treadle and crank-arm" (lines 1-6).

Patent for a gas-burner signal lantern, instead of an oil-burner signal lantern, that indicates whether or not the track is all clear of trains; includes instructions and illustrations.

Patent for a new and improved boot cleaner. This design "affords facilities for readily and conveniently scraping all parts of the boot or shoe. The heel is scraped on [a] semicircular portion located at the top of the arch, the sides of the sole by the arms, the upper hollow of the foot by the projections, [and] the toe by the lower side of the arch or bow" (lines 38-45).
