Patent for device for planting, fertilizing, and cultivating seed and grain.

Patent for a new and improved multi-tool. This design "relates to an improved combination tool or implement designed to be used in connection with sewing-machines, and combining in a convenient form several instruments which operators on sewing-machines should always have ready at hand" (lines 9-14).

Patent for a new and improved elevator. This design "consists in the construction of the operating mechanism . . . whereby the mechanism may be regulated or adjusted to run fast or slow, according to the weight of the load to be carried, it being adjusted to run slow, but with great power, when heavy loads are to be lifted, but to run fast, but with lesser power, when lighter loads are to be lifted" (lines 28-37).

Patent for improvements to windmills.

Patent for a new and improved portable saw mill. This design "is to produce a portable saw-mill of such cheap and economical plan as can be built and repaired in almost any locality. The invention consists in the peculiar construction and arrangement of the parts" (lines 12-17).

Patent for a machine that "has relation to mechanical powers designed for stump-pulling, hoisting heavy weights, &c.; and it consists in the construction and novel arrangement of parts" (lines 21-24).

Patent for new and improved tongs. This design "relates to certain devices for preventing the legs of tongs from twisting, overlapping, or becoming cross-legged. This is a common fault in almost all tongs when the joint wears a little loose, and is entirely overcome and prevented by [this] invention" (lines 19-24).

Patent for an improved, less expensive, and easier to use camp bed granted to William Green Holden.

Patent for a new and improved oil press mat. This design "consists in a mat for oil-presses having its leaves composed of paper-pulp molded by dies or molds into the requisite shape to present a hard and inelastic body to the meal to be pressed, said leaves of molded paper-pulp being provided with a leather backing" (lines 18-24).

Patent for a new and improved reflector holder for lamps. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with a lamp and a lamp-collar, provided with a circumferential flange, of a reflector provided with a keeper, spring-clasp, springing around said collar under the flange at its lower end, and having its free ends bent angularly at their upper ends and secured in said keeper by their tension and slide" (lines 2-9).

Patent for improvements to rotary engine designs.

Patent for a new and improved coupling for railroad cars. This design "consists in the improved construction and combination of parts of such a coupling, in which the link may be raised and supported at different heights for the purpose of coupling with cars of different height, or for the purpose of raising the link out of engagement with the hook of another draw-head" (lines 26-32).
