The following report is the proceedings of a workshop convened at NOAA's Pacific Fisheries Environmental Group in Pacific Grove, California, on July 16-18 1996, to examine the uses of environmental data for fisheries.

The following report provides the findings of a 1998 field study over the Hawaiian monk seal in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. These studies evaluate the status and trends of monk seal populations, natural history traits (survival, reproduction, growth, behavior, and feeding habits), and the success of various activities designed to facilitate population growth.

From preface: This is a report of a workshop on the Forces of change in Hawaii's aku (skipjack tuna, Katsuwonus pelamis) industry. The workshop was held on April 30 and May 1, 1986 in Honolulu, Hawaii and was coordianted by the Southwest Fisheries Center (SWFC) Honolulu Laboratory, National Marine Fisheries Service, NOAA. The objectives of the workshop were: 1. To review the status and current research on Hawaii's aku fishery, and 2. To introduce and prepare background material for discussion at a joint industry-government planning session to be held at a later date.

The following document evaluates the formula used for minimum stock size threshold (BMSST). The formula involved is meant to determine whether the stock in fisheries are overstocked or understocked.

This is a report on the observational study of the green turtle and monk seal population in the Pearl and Hermes Reef, 1986. No entanglements, injuries, or deaths were observed.

From abstract: This report was produced in response to a petition received from the Center for Biological Diversity on September 14, 2012, to list eight species of pomacentrid reef fish as endangered or threatened under the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and to designate critical habitat for these species concurrent with the listings...This report summarizes the best available scientific and commercial information on the orange clownfish, and presents an evaluation of the species' status and extinction risk.

This is a report that examines the economic and operational performance of lobster fishing vessels in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands.

The following document reports the findings of the studies of the endangered Hawaiian monk seal during 2001 in all of its reproductive sites in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. This document contains information evaluating the status and trends of monk seal subpopulations; natural history traits such as survival, reproduction, growth, behavior, and feeding habits; and the success of various activities designed to facilitate population growth.

This is a report on a 3.5 month observational study of the endangered Hawaiian monk seal that took place on the Laysan Island. The total recorded counts ranged from 66-119 and averaged to 90 seals, five of which died in the few months, nine injured.
