From introduction: The purpose of this report is to describe the channel-geometry technique and to present equations for estimating mean annual runoff and peak flows for ungaged streams in southeastern Montana.

From purpose and scope: The purpose of this report is to present biological data and to compare the physical, chemical, and biological data to water-quality criteria that are desirable for the proposed reservoir uses.

From purpose and scope: The purpose of this report is to summarize and evaluate fluvial-sediment data collected in the study area by the U.S. Geological Survey. The principal products of this report are sediment concentration and load statistics, sediment-transport curves, calculated mean annual sediment yields at selected stations, and an areal sediment-yield map. A secondary purpose is to describe sediment relationships between stations and basins and to identify environmental factors that are important in determining sediment yield.

From Introduction: "The Sheridan NTMS 1º by 2º Quadrangle (Fig. 1) in north-central Wyoming was evaluated to identify geologic environments that have characteristics favorable for uranium deposition. Only environments to a depth of 1500 m have been evaluated for this project."

Appendices containing supplementary data on uranium availability in the Sheridan Quadrangle, in addition to petrology reports and test well reports to accompany a report on U.S. uranium reports in Wyoming and Montana.

From abstract: All geologic conditions in the Dillon Quadrangle (Montana and Idaho) have been thoroughly examined, and, using National Uranium Resource Evaluation criteria, environments are favorable for uranium deposits along fractured zones of Precambrian Y metasediments, in the McGowan Creek Formation, and in some Tertiary sedimentary basins.

Appendices containing supplementary analytical data of stream-water and stream-sediment samples, in addition to geochemical analyses of rock samples for the Dillon and Dubois Quadrangles. Also included are detailed uranium-occurrence reports for twelve deposits in the Dillon quadrangle, which include including a description, uranium analysis, exact location, deposit type, and features of the host rock.

The purpose of this report is to present the results of a condition survey performed at Malmstrom Air Force Base (MAFB), Montana, during 24-27 April 1972. The three major areas of interest considered in this condition survey were the structural condition of the primary airfield pavements, the condition of pavement repairs and the types of maintenance materials that have been used at this airfield, and any detrimental effects of frost to the pavement facilities.
