Concurrent resolution introduced by the Texas House of Representatives and Senate honoring the Ennis High School Lions football team for winning the 2004 Class 4A Division I state championship.

Patent for improvements in baling presses: "This invention relates to baling presses provided with runners, (instead of the usual wheels,) to be removed about the field; and my objects are, to construct such a press in such a manner that it can be readily started down with but few stakes, second; to provide a rigid but removable side brace to prevent the press from canting, and third; to prevent the operating lever from canting or swinging upward or downward when in operation; and to promote simplicity" (lines 17-27).

Patent for a new and improved cotton-loading derrick. This design consists in "[t]he portable derrick, comprising the barrow-base having the longitudinal handle-bars, the extended longitudinal and transverse base-sills, and the bearings, the rotary shaft or mast having the slot and sheave, the upper shoulder and upward-projecting stud, the cross-head, the oblique braces connecting its rear arm to the mast, and the derrick-pulleys suspended from the free arm of said cross-head, the rope passing through said slot and over said sheave and to said pulleys and windlass" (lines 79-90).

Patent for a new and improved wheel. This design consists in "inner spokes [that] are inclined outwardly, and the outer spokes [that] are inclined inwardly toward their remote ends, whereby compression of the rim of the wheel is transformed into lateral thrusts on the hub, and the lateral thrusts counterbalance each other" (lines 45-51).

This pantent was created for the construction and preperation of a sulky plow cultivator. The invention was created for new and mechanical improvements.

Patent for a new and improved throat-latch fastener. This design consists in a "connecting-plate for bridles, having the side and end bars, the intermediate transverse bars . . . and the central longitudinal bar, having a stud in one portion thereof" (lines 79-83).

Patent for improvements in suspension-bridge by using a combination of upper main cables reached from one pillar to the opposite pillar and anchored in the rear side of the pillars. A pair of lower cables at each side of the bridge; each pair being crossed at the center of the A-shaped or angular girders, these girders are bent for use as receiving hooks to form vertical stays. A series of girders hold the upper and lower cables in position thus making the bridge strong, light and rigid span. Illustration is included.

Patent for "an attachment which can be applied to the table of a sewing-machine and removed therefrom at a moment's notice and which can be taken apart when required and reduced to a small package for the purpose of storing or placing aside when not required for immediate use."
