Pump.
Patent for an improved, useful, durable, and simple pump that is powered by cattle as they walk into an enclosure. It consists of a water receiving chamber with inlet openings on one end, supporting rods, a hollow pump piston with a spout, a valve on the bottom of the pump piston, a walking beam, a bridge, hinges, angle-irons, and a counterbalances weight.

Process and Apparatus for Separation of Ores by Flotation.
Patent for a improved process and apparatus use commercially to separate ores using flotation. By "introducing a novel step in the flotation process which results in the complete breaking down of the froth and at the same time keeping the volume of water used within the smallest practical limits thus preventing the washing away of valuable concentrates by an unnecessarily large volume of water" (lines 54-60).
