Lift or Elevator.

Patent for a new and improved elevator. This design "consists in the construction of the operating mechanism . . . whereby the mechanism may be regulated or adjusted to run fast or slow, according to the weight of the load to be carried, it being adjusted to run slow, but with great power, when heavy loads are to be lifted, but to run fast, but with lesser power, when lighter loads are to be lifted" (lines 28-37).

Lacing-Eyelet.

Patent for the improved construction and efficiency of a Lacing-Eyelet. The device is used for supporting lacing in fashion wear, including shoes and corsets. Improvements include providing quicker implementation of the device without risk of damaging the garment it is used on. Additional improvements include the device having uniform and interchangeable parts which can be manufactured in quantities so as to be easily replaced if necessary. Accompanied with illustrations.
