Monazite Placers on Rabon Creek, Laurens County, and Big Generostee Creek, Anderson County, South Carolina
Introduction: Rabon Creek in Laurens County, South Carolina and Big Generostee Creek in Anderson County, have large established flood plains. Preliminary investigations by the U.S. Geological Survey showed the presence of monazite in these streams, and the areas were recommended for detailed investigation.
