Patent for "new and useful improvements in band-cutters and feeders" (lines 6-7).

Patent for a new and improved cultivator and planter. This design consists in "the combination of the box having the slot and the three apertures in the side of the slot . . . the reciprocating seed-slide, and the sliding and adjustable plate . . . having the slot near its end and engaging with the free leg of the staple" (lines 100-110).

Patent for a new and improved churn motor. This design "consists in [a] novel construction and arrangement of parts . . . The machine . . . is so constructed that it gives to the dasher a perpendicular long or short stroke, and that it may be sunk deep or shallow in the milk; and the machine may be run at the greatest speed with but little friction, and without the danger of its parts becoming loosened, and by means of its apron and attachment . . . it holds the churn in place" (lines 16-26).

Patent for a new and improved treadle power. This design "consists of a pair of treadles contrived [so] that the operator may stand erect and operate the machine . . . together with contrivances whereby the operator may at the same time apply the power of the hands and arms to assist the legs when greater power is required, and for relief of the legs when less power is required. By enabling the operator to stand erect and apply the weight of his [or her] body to the treadles by a natural walking motion . . . he [or she] can apply greater power and continue a longer time with less fatigue" (lines 7-20).

Patent for a new nail box designed to "be conveniently handled and pushed under the counter" (lines 17-18) and "readily withdrawn to permit free access" (lines 19-20) including illustrations.

Patent for improvements to oscillating steam engines, including illustrations and instructions.

Patent for a new and improved grindstone fixture. This design consists "[i]n a fastening for grindstones, the combination of the shaft having the rounded collar and the screw-threaded portion, the stone fitting with its central perforation upon the shaft, the washer having the concave aperture fitting upon the collar, the washer having the set-screws, and the nut upon the threaded part of the shaft clamping the washers upon the stone" (lines 77-85).

Patent for a new and improved door-check. This design consists in "the combination, with a sliding-bolt provided with a wedge-plate, of the catch or slide mounted on the bolt and capable of a limited longitudinal movement, and the adjustable bar arranged between the adjacent edges of the wedge-plate and the catch or slide and tapered toward its lower end to fit the edges of the wedge-plate and catch or slide, the said adjustable bar being provided with a stud which operates in a suitable transverse guide-slot, whereby the bar is held from longitudinal movement" (lines 26-37).
