Patent for a new and improved wire stretcher. This design "relates to improvements in wire-stretchers for use in building wire fences, and also adapted to take up the wire and reel the same when it is desired to take a fence down" (lines 12-16). It consists, "with the main frame, of the inclined and slotted standards secured thereto, the boxes arranged on said standards, the pivoted pawl carried by the boxes, and a reel-shaft carrying a pinion and arranged in the slots of the standards and supported by the boxes" (lines 89-95).

Patent for a printing, ruling, and cutting press of a simple and durable construction. The printing press can print both sides of a sheet of paper and has adjustable guards so that the operator can print any size paper. The machine also provides a "means for regulating the feed of the machine for adapting it to print short or long sections or a newspaper as well as a small tract" (lines 20-22). The machine has two plates opposite each other, the weight of one counterbalances the other so double printing is possible. Any amount of ink can be supplied to the rollers, and adjustable scrapers remove extra ink from the ink drums. The uncut paper can be wound around a device if necessary. A drying-cylinder provides that the printed material has no blurs.

Patent for "improvements in envelopes or packing bags, adapted to be placed in an ordinary wagon, to receive seed cotton and similar products, so as to be transported from place to place, and means for elevating or removing the bag from the wagon and dumping the contents when destination is reached" (lines 12-19).
