Patent for a new and improved buckle. This design consists "[i]n a harness-buckle, the combination, with the frame, provided with a tongue-bar having two tongues thereon and a tongue-bar having a single tongue thereon, of a clasp-rest and a hinged clasp near opposite ends of the buckle-frame" (lines 77-82).

Patent for a new and improved bustle. This design consists in "[a] bustle consisting of a single piece of wire bent in spiral form, and bent at its ends to form loops to which are secured straps . . . having a buckle, and the elastic strap secured to the strap and engaging a buckle on the strap" (lines 85-90).

Patent for new and improved pants. This design consists in "[a] pair of pantaloons, each leg of which is composed of a single piece, having the two edges and extended from the crotch to the foot of the leg, said extended portions being lapped one upon the other and united by the double lines of stitching, one in front and the other in rear of the usual line of the inside seam, whereby the leg is given a double thickness on the inside, and a smooth unbroken surface, adapting them to be worn in the saddle with comfort" (lines 16-26).

Design patent for a badge that has a near-rectangular body with additional ornamentation.

Patent for a plow. It "is to provide an improved plow stock or frame having an adjustable foot to regulate the inclination or pitch of the plow-point" (p. 2).

Patent for new and improved well-drilling machinery. This design "is to make a well-drilling machine which will drop the drill at the proper time and from the proper height" (lines 11-14). It consists in "the bevel-wheel having cam on its periphery and arranged loosely on a vertical shaft, a bevel-pinion fast on power-shaft, a loose drum sliding on [the] shaft, the spring, and collar, in combination with the drill-rope" (lines 69-74).

Patent for improvements in furnaces. Patent for "a new and improved design for furnaces for returning smoke and gas to the ash pit" (lines 11-13) including instructions and illustrations. Patent for a new furnace design, including illustrations.

Patent for an inexpensive, simple, and durable grain planter that plants large grains like corn, peas, and wheat. The improved machine is perfectly timed and does not crush the seeds.

Patent for a gin feeder that carries "the cotton forward, and is provided with some one or more of many additional devices to regulate the amount delivered by the conveyer, independently of the amount that may be in the feeder, provided only that the supply be not to scanty" (lines 13-18). Other feeders do this, but the patent is for an especially simply designed and does not use a belt conveyer. It also does not wear out easily.

Patent for an apparatus for protecting electrical circuits, and is an improvement on a previous patent (No. 537,932) issued to the inventor. This patent consists of "an electrical circuit, an alarm or indicator, a continuously-operating signal-transmitter at the protected structure operating to affect or influence the alarm or indicator, and a second or duplicate continuously-operating signal-transmitter located at the watchman's station, operating in unison with the first-named signal-transmitter to affect the alarm or indicator equally and oppositely as regards the first-named transmitter, whereby a signal is sounded or an alarm given only when the two transmitters are out of unison or when one is changed, varied, or interfered with in an unauthorized manner" (lines 72-86).

Patent for a simple and inexpensive electric meter that measures and records "the time during which an electric translating device, such as a motor or light, is connected with the source of supply, such as a dynamo-electric machine, located at a central station" (lines 11-15). Anyone can understand how it works, and it is more accurate than other meters.

Patent for a sight-feed for planters with a rotable feed-disk brings the seed to the spout. "The operator who is following the planter may be enabled to accurately observe the workings of the same and the delivery of the seed, and thus see at all times that a proper planting is taking place" (lines 17-21).

Patent for a mirror attachment for dressers with an improved clamping mechanism so that it can be easily adjusted when in use and easily put to the side when not in use. Includes instructions and illustrations.

Patent for improving acetylene gas generator designs with the use of an added specification in the form of a new apparatus. Illustrations and instructions are included.
