Adjustable Device for Dressing Down Bearings
Patent for a tool that dresses down bearings. Railroad engine journals and their corresponding bearings show wear over time. When replacing bearings into such a journal, without adaptation of the bearing there will be an improper fit, resulting in "hot journals" or "hot boxes". This tool adapts a bearing to a proper fit for the journal into which it will be installed.

Animated Sign
Patent for a display apparatus to be implemented as animated advertising signs which successively display different images by controlling the timing of changes in the colors of light used to flood the front and to backlight the display surfaces. The images are created in such a way that certain elements created in certain colors become absorbed or are made invisible when illuminated by certain colors of light. An apparatus controls the cyclical changes of the colored lights used by the sign.

Beekeeping in the Buckwheat Region
"The production of the full honey crop from buckwheat requires a plan of apiary management quite different from that of most other beekeeping regions. A system of management is here given which will result in a full honey crop and at the same time control European foulbrood, which is so prevalent in the buckwheat region. Beekeeping in the Clover Region
"Beekeeping methods suitable for the clover region are well developed but many beekeepers of this region are failing to obtain the full available honey crop because of deficiencies in their practice. Beekeeping in the Tulip-Tree Region
"Many thousand colonies of bees occur in the region where the tulip-tree is abundant but the honey crop from tulip-tree flowers inconsiderable. Too few beekeepers in this region have modern equipment, it is true, but the greatest loss comes from the fact that they do not care for their bees so as to have them ready to gather the abundant nectar from this early-blooming tree.
