Geology and Ore Deposits of Mesa V, Lukachukai District, Arizona
From abstract: Mesa V of the Lukachukai area is capped by Morrison sediments which dip gently eastward from the mountains to the mesa tip, where the strata are tilted sharply to the opposite dip by the Lukachukai monocline. The Salt Wash of Mesa V contains ore outcrops which indicate favorable intensity of mineralization at one horizon along a 2000-foot outcrop interval. Other scatted exposures indicate the existence of ore under much of the mesa surface.

The Chattanooga Shale of Tennessee as a Source of Uranium: Final Report
From major objective: The over-all aim of the study has been to obtain a thorough geologic picture of the Chattanooga shale in the area under consideration, with emphasis upon stratigraphic relationships and associated special problems from which, in turn, implications may be obtained as to the origin and age of the formation and possibly the source of the uranium. From abstract: Close-in air blast measurements were made on the Dugout shot. Major constituents of the blast wave were the ground-shock-induced pulse and the pulse from venting gases. The ground-shock-induced pulse was the dominant one at all stations.
