Patent for a new and improved easel and rest. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with the rest . . . of the bar pivoted to [a] holder by bolt, the perforated bar pivoted to [another] bar by [another] bolt, and the easel united to the [first] bar by a suitable round bolt" (lines 97-101).

Patent for improvements in the construction of churns.

Patent for a new and improved coupling for railroad cars. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with the draw-head, of the transverse pivot-pin in the top of the draw-head, the coupling-pin provided with a longitudinal slot engaging said pivot-pin, and the weights mounted on said pivot-pin and adapted to bear on the end of the link" (lines 76-81).

Patent for improvements in the construction of corn planters.

Patent for a new and improved wire-stretcher. This design "has for its object to provide a device of simple, durable, and economical construction and capable of carrying the roll taut a sufficient distance beyond the post to conveniently nail the wire thereto, and whereby any amount of slack can be taken up by repeated operation. The further object of the invention is to provide a machine which will also be able to draw together the broken ends of a wire and take up the slack between the posts" (lines 8-18).

Patent for invented certain new and useful improvement in Wire-Tightener invention relates to an improvement in and it consists in the peculiar construction and combination of devices, that will be more fully set here in after and particularly pointed out in the claim.

Patent for a new and improved post-auger. This design "is to improve that class of post-augers whose blades are made adjustable so as to make large or small holes. They have ordinarily been adjusted by means of a bolt, nut, and slot in the blade; but the blades work out of correspondence with each other, the nuts becoming more or less loosened. [This design] dispense[s] with bolt, nut, and slot" (lines 15-23).

Patent for a new and improved baling press. This design consists in "the combination of the frame, the baling-chamber at the front end of the same, the plunger, the toggle-links connecting said plunger with a cross-piece at the rear end of the frame, a base extending laterally from the frame, a horizontal crank mounted pivotally upon said base, the pitman connecting said crank with the connecting-point of the toggle-links, said pitman consisting of end pieces connected by a bridge-piece lying in a lower plane than the said end-pieces, and an operating-sweep" (lines 13-24).

Patent for a saw-gin which when constructed can run all of its parts with a single belt, which reduces the need for space allowing for more gins to be used in the same amount of space.

Patent for a new and improved boiler. This design "consist[s] of a horizontal steam reservoir, a vertical cylinder provided with radial tubes suspended therefrom and forming a steam-generating chamber, all supported by standards placed underneath said horizontal steam-reservoir and outside of the casing surrounding said steam-generating chamber, and the fire-box placed under said steam-generating chamber" (lines 67-75).

Patent for a new and improved rack-and-pinion mechanism. This design "relates to improvements on rack-and-pinion mechanism to dispense with the connecting-rod on steam-engines, whereby a more equal, constant motive power at any point of the piston-stroke, and no dead or weak points of the same, will be obtained" (lines 9-14).
