This is the collection for the End of Term Presidential Harvest 2012, an effort by the Library of Congress, the California Digital Library, the University of North Texas Libraries, the Internet Archive, and the U.S. Government Printing Office to preserve public United States Government web sites at the end of the presidential term that ended January 20, 2013. This collection documents federal agencies' presence on the World Wide Web during the transition of Presidential administrations.

Classification of the End-of-Term Archive: Extending Collection Development to Web Archives

This is the official website for the project "Classification of the End-of-Term Archive: Extending Collection Development to Web Archives." This project was a collaboration between the Internet Archive and the University of North Texas (UNT) Libraries. It made use of the EOT Archive, a large Web archive of government information. The goal of the EOTCD project was to help librarians identify and select materials in accordance with collection development policies, to find common metrics to identify these materials, and to analyze the needs of future researchers. It includes information such as reports, presentations, research questions and methods, meeting minutes, and project data.

Commission on Long-Term Care

This is the website for the federal Commission on Long-Term Care. Established as part of the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012 and signed into law January 2, 2013, the commission's goal was to advise Congress on how comprehensive, high-quality long-term care can be better provided and financed for the nation's older adults and people with disabilities. The Commission is composed of 15 members of the Senate and House of Representatives and released its final report on September 18, 2013. The website includes the final report, all relevant press releases, and transcripts and other materials related to its public hearings.

Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction

This is the website for the Office of the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction. SIGIR provides oversight for Iraq reconstruction programs and operations. Specifically, SIGIR is mandated with the oversight responsibility of the use, and potential misuse, of the Iraq Relief and Reconstruction Fund (IRRF) and all obligations, expenditures, and revenues associated with reconstruction and rehabilitation activities in Iraq. SIGIR reports administratively to the Secretaries of State and Defense and provides quarterly and semi-annual reports directly to the U.S. Congress.
