Back of yoke is trimmed with five rows of vertical pin tucks and matching broderie anglaise. Hemline has 1" band of broderie anglaise in fleur-de-lis pattern between three rows of pin tucks. Ruffle at hemline has band of feather stitched embroidery at seam with two rows of drawn work and floral and fleur-de-lis embroidery with scalloped hem. Center back closure of three mother-of-pearl buttons. B) Slip. Rounded neckline; sleeveless. Lace trim at neckline and armseye. Full gathered skirt attached to bodice with band of feather stitched embroidery . Hemline and ruffle of slip is trimmed to match gown. Center back closure of two mother-of-pearl buttons.

Skirt has insert of floral embroidered batiste between two rows of tatted lace; pin tucking above inserts and at ruffled hemline trimmed with tatted lace. Center back opening with snap closure; snaps missing. Unlined. B) Slip of white batiste cotton. Sleeveless with wide rounded neckline; bordered in tatted lace. Bodice embroidered in floral pattern with embroidered bow at the center. Gathered waist. Skirt with tucks and insert of tatted lace and tatted lace at hem. Center back closure of four mother-of-pearl buttons and button at each shoulder (buttons at shoulders missing).

The horizontal oriented postcard is decorated with a English salutation of Happy New Year as well as a Japanese greeting. The design of the card is reminiscent of Art Nouveau.

Box pleats conceal the center back opening of four buttons to waist with pleated skirt from waist. Long sleeves with ruffled cuffs and button trim. Half belt of self wraps around to the back and closes with a snap.

Wedding slippers of ivory silk. Shoes have somewhat pointed toes, and ivory silk rosette at top of vamp. 2" high heels, tapering slightly to base, rounded at sides and back, curved at front.
