Evening Dress
Evening dress of champagne peau de soie. Princess style. Sweetheart neckline in front, with small horizontal pleats at front left and right princess seaming at upper part of bust; back neckline is low and rounded. 1-1/2 inch wide shoulder straps that split in front to form an inverted Y, with horizontal band of same fabric at dividing point. Natural waist. Skirt is below knee length, at at hips has three almost horizontal bias folds which extend to from hip center back and join to form bow; lower sash ends of the bow attach to skirt to form "bustle drape", giving added fullness. Attached net petticoat gathered to taffeta yoke; back zipper. Retailer's label at left side seam: "Neiman-Marcus"

Man's Coat
Coat of beaver(?) and fox fur. Full-length coat of alternating light and dark brown "squares" of fur following patterns of the pelt. Long sleeves, two slit pockets at front hips, attached belt across small of back of same fur, and back vent. Double-breasted, with six large brown leather buttons in 3 pairs, which fasten to loops. Collar of fox fur. Fully lined in gray. Inside breast pocket on left. Leather label inside: "Made in Canada"; Printed style/size label, illegible notes.

Hat of pink straw. The open crown is of woven pink straw, as is the wide oval brim. At the front of the hat is a cluster of artificial flowers in pink velvet and green fabric. The hat is unlined, with two inner hatbands of grosgrain ribbon at the base of the crown - one band pink, the other of cream. Designer's label sewn to inner hatband: "3410 Oak Lawn / Bernie A. Cahn / Dallas, Tex" Accompanied by a single short hatpin with a tan straw woven head.

Hat of multi-colored straw. Based on a beret, the hat consists of a crown of finely woven straw in bands of dark blue, red, white, and dark blue. The crown is formed as a flattened sphere, surmounted by a small sphere of dark blue velvet. Hat of beige cotton(?). The crown is designed as a five-sided pyramid constructed of five triangular segments that have concentric chevrons of top-stitching. The cylindrical lower edge has horizontal top-stitching, and a lower band of beige and gold brocade ribbon. Hat is unlined, with inner beige cotton(?) hatband. Paper hat
Hat of plastic-coated paper. The hat is of novelty design, with a square crown of flame pink/orange with faint stripes/brick pattern, which is open along the vertical corners. The mostly-oval brim of the same material is set off-center, widest part from side to side, but with more brim at front than back. At front left, the brim extends and detaches from hat to hang down at side. At end of extension is cluster of petal forms made of the same material and a white version of same material. Hatband is formed of dense clusters of the same petals. The underside of the brim is of the flame pink/orange, while the inside of the crown is white. Headband of white grosgrain ribbon. Designer's label inside at base of crown: "Sue Dooley / Dallas" Measurements, not including extension: 32cm. front to back; 37 cm. side to side; 21 cm. from top of crown to base of main part of crown. When laid on flat surface, ca. 32 cm. from side of crown to furthest part of extension.

Picture hat
Picture/mousquetaire style hat of violet silk over purple straw body. The low, domed crown is surrounded by a wide brim, and overlaid by two wide, dyed violet ostrich feathers. The underside of the brim the lighter colored violet woven straw body of the hat. The crown is lined in black taffeta fabric and has an attached cord to help secure hat to wearer's head. Hat of woven natural straw. The low, slightly domed crown has a hatband of dark brown velvet ribbon with bow and trailing ribbons at back right. The wide circular brim is faced in dark brown velvet matching the velvet band around crown. Unlined; dark brown grosgrain ribbon headband. From the underside of the brim extend two different bands of net mesh veiling: a smaller, open mesh veil from base of crown to nose, and a fine mesh extending from mouth to lower throat. Coral pink. silk chiffon evening gown. Full-length evening gown constructed of gathered coral pink chiffon with contrasting gathered orange/pink panels center front and center back. Semi-fitted bodice with high rounded neckline. The neckline is accented with an orange/pink. silk chiffon. scarf panel detail. The scarf is sewn into the neckline from right center back to just short of the left shoulder line. The scarf is asymmetrically shaped and hangs to knee-level. It can be worn hanging loose or cowled at the neck. Full-length set-in gathered sleeves of sheer coral pink chiffon. The sleeves gather into wide cuffs fastened with two covered snaps. Center back zipper closure from neck to hipline within a single hook&eye at the neckline. Natural waist seam with embroidered belt detail. The belt consists of circular medallions of rhinestones and gold bugle beads arranged in a chain motif. Full. floor-length gathered skirt. Fitted lining of coral pink crepe.
