Tweed suit

Cocktail ensemble of cream/blue/gold brocade of blossoms and scrolls. A) Jacket. Waist length, with small collar. CF opening with no closures, long sleeves with 3 functioning buttons at wrist of each. All edges trimmed with metallic gold braid/piping. Lined in green metallic brocade(?), and with chain at hem. Designer's label at center back neckline: "Chanel" B) Dress. Matching fabric. Slightly below knee length. Sleeveless. Scooped rounded neckline. Somewhat "wrap" style, with front opening to slightly left of center secured with hidden snaps and hooks & eyes, with 4 decorative buttons on bodice. Green metallic thin tie-belt at waist, sewn to back of dress. Inside skirt are two hooks to secure, one hook on a tie, and one tie. Lined in same fabric as jacket. No labels in dress.

Skirt suit

Cocktail suit of black silk satin. a) Waist-length jacket formed of vertically arranged heat-set pleats with five horizontal bands applied across the pleats. There is a panel of ivory/off-white silk extending from the neck of the jacket, forming the collar of the jacket and simulating the effect of a blouse being worn under the jacket. The long sleeves are also pleated, with single band near the base of the sleeves, from which extend ivory/off-white silk mock cuffs. Center front opening with three applied black bows on the lower three horizontal bands. The opening is secured with three hook-and-loop closures hidden by the bows. Lined in black silk. Designer's label at inside back neckline: "Chanel" Style number tag beneath designer's label: "10967" b) Matching mid-length skirt of similarly pleated black silk, with a plain waistband and a single horizontal black silk band 2" below the waistband. Three hook-and-loops in the waistband, and four snaps along closure at left hip. Skirt has a single panel of organza lining in back, the rest of the skirt being unlined to allow more movement of the fabric.

Waist-length, with small collar, three gold and pink buttons in front, two gold and pink buttons on each long sleeve and with detachable cuffs that mimic the blouses. Chain at hem. Semi-formal gown of ivory silk faille and light green taffeta. Below knee-length, the ivory silk faille bodice is sleeveless and has a jewel neckline . Arched princess seams from arm opening to dropped waistline are mirrored on back. Patch pockets cut on bias at hips. The light green taffeta skirt gathers to the ivory silk faille bodice at dropped waist, and has attached interior supporting structure of 5-1/2" and 17" tiers of stiffened synthetic organdy(?). The dress has a center back zipper with hook & eye and hook & eye with snap at skirt. Bodice lined in ivory synthetic fabric and skirt is lined cotton organdy.
