Double breasted with three (of original 6) circular white buttons at front; closure supplemented with two large covered snaps. Long sleeves with nonfunctioning matching button at hem. Hat of black wool felt. Formed as a high-crowned hat with floppy brim, the domed crown has concave sides held in part by wide black silk satin ribbon with bow and trailing ends at back. Brim is wired and irregularly undulating at rim and is trimmed with black felted wool ribbon. Inside lined with black satin, with inner black grosgrain ribbon hatband. Small stitched mark on inner band indicates front of hat, and small applied cream ribbon bow indicates back. Designer's label inside crown: "Lilly / Daché / Paris New York". The label is very large, and part of "Paris" and all of "York" are cut-off.

Day dress of black and grey tweed. Tea-length; short sleeves. Two large black buttons in front above zipper.

Cocktail dress of pale yellow silk chiffon with orange and yellow rose print and attached flowers. Sleeveless; 3/4 length. Fitted bodice has outer layer of chiffon with front rounded neckline and is cut to low V in back with cascade of silk and chiffon flowers at right shoulder and down right side of back. Skirt is full with three layers of chiffon; top layer of same print with next under layer of cream and bottom layer of yellow. Layered chiffon skirt is gathered at waistline to create a full silhouette; mid-length. Attached cummerbund style belt of matching draped chiffon has tie which wraps and folds at front with two wide, fringed ends. A) Dinner dress of black silk crepe. Full length; pink satin lining on roll collar. Pink satin panels at bust and waist overlaid with black scrolled lace trim. Long dolman sleeves. Ballgown of ivory satin with over appliqué of yellow lace and jeweled in pearls, large pearl drops, sequins, rhinestones, bugle beads and iridescent white beads.

Coat of leopard(?) and mink. Below-knee length coat of leopard fur, with long sleeves. The shawl collar, center front opening, lower hem, and cuffs of the sleeves are edged with black mink. Two slit pockets at front hips. Fully lined in dark cream silk(?) brocade with gold pattern similar to an Indian sari. Embroidered monogram at inside right: "MER". Child's dress of white lightweight cotton organdy. Knee length; short puffed sleeves with ruffled lace edging. High round neck with ruffled lace edging. Skirt gathers at natural waist; belt of red velvet across front has large one inch buttons at either end that button onto white organdy belt pieces that tie in the back. Center back buttons down to waist with four buttons. Full skirt has four inch wide hem with built in organdy crinoline. Apron attached at waistline in front has ruffled lace trim and lace ribbon sewn across the middle; below this lace the bottom of apron has embroidered flowers (white daisies with yellow centers, red flowers with yellow centers, blue flowers, multiple shades of green leaves and stems).
