The area between the two parallel princess seams running the length of each side of the dress becomes a separate panel, curving outward from knee-level to the hem. All around the crown is floral decoration carried out in beading, appliqué, and embroidery with thin lines of gold thread sewn throughout. The edges of the brim are similarly decorated.
