Evening coat of black and white satin. Approx. knee-length, with gently rounded V neckline, and center front opening with no closures. Modified "cocoon coat", with a full cut and no fit. 3/4 or slightly longer sleeves with broad cuff with large circular black braid covered non-functional button on each, the button covering a hidden snap. Diagonally set welt pockets at front hips. Lined in cream satin, which gives slight "piped" effect to outer edges. Dress of white and blue cotton with vertical/diagonal bold stripes; ankle length. Bodice is one shoulder, with an asymmetrical neckline; the strap is gathered and meets at the shoulder in a small flat bow with two smaller 5/8" straps, one blue and one white. Skirt is comprised of two layers: the upper layer is of the blue and white striped cotton (9.5" at its shortest), the lower layer is of white cotton and has a full a-line silhouette.
