Ensemble of navy blue . Jacket. Cropped, single breasted jacket has rounded neckline and no lapels, to allow bow of dress to show. Center front closure of 3 self-covered buttons with bound buttonholes. Long sleeves with double row of snaps around each cuff, for missing cuffs. Lined in blue silk. Designer's label at inside back collar: "George Halley / New York" Retailer's label at right inside near buttons: "Bonwit Teller" Union label and side label at left side seam. Size 6. Dress. Knee-length or slightly longer, with rounded neckline with large blue satin bow at throat. Sleeveless, with wide straps. Bodice seamed, with slightly raised waist into which A-line skirt is gathered. Side slit pockets at hips. Center back zipper. Around neckline are a series of 5 self-covered snaps along left side, and evidence of removed stitches for a collar on right side. Lined in black, with dark mauve band near inner hem. Designer's label at inside left by zipper: "George Halley / New York"

Aviator's Cap Hat

Hat in the form of a black leather Aviator's Cap. The domed ovoid crown is made in six triangular sections, and has straps which extend down and buckle under the chin with two oval gilt metal links. Day Dress

Day dress of blue and white linen blend(?). Semi-fitted empire bodice with narrow standing collar and short sleeves. Center back zipper closure from neck to hip line with hook&eye at neck. Contrasting white waistband giving the impression of a wide belt. Four blue insets simulate belt loops. Center front lapped detail on "belt" with two bound buttonholes and nonfunctional, round, blue shank buttons. Above-the-knee flared skirt with side seam pockets low on hips. Piece lined in blue and white cotton. Evening dress

Evening dress and stole of emerald green silk brocade in oriental inspired chrysanthemum motif. a) Dress in princess line sheath style. Full-length, flared; sleeveless. Wide, moderate scooped neckline across the front and deep V-neckline across the back. The back neckline is accented with a wide spread collar and is accented with a simple knotted bow that laps the zipper. Center back zipper closure from mid-back to hip-level with a single hook & eye at the neckline. Below-the-waist seam pockets lined in green taffeta situated in the front princess seams.
