A) Daytime dress of oyster white linen designed as a "Sailor Dress". Straight silhouette and short sleeves. Blue "sailor collar" trimmed with two bands of white linen. Sleeves are likewise edged in a wide blue band with two white linen stripes. Red silk faille tie fastened with hook & eye closure in back. Street-length skirt has two patch pockets at front. Three darts at front sides and two at back sides. Zipper closure at left side. Unlined with petersham of oyster grosgrain ribbon with hook-and-eye closure. Designer's label at bottom left side seam at hem: "Traina-Norell / New York" B) Narrow navy blue belt backed in leather. Simulated patent leather (?) facing. Illegible marks on back.

Ballgown of pink silk satin. Strapless edged in a band of same. High waist. Very full balloon/bubble skirt, heavily gathered at waist. Wide vertical pleated panel attaches at waist and extends down and under front of skirt creating a slight pick up with bow at waist. Bodice is boned and lined in crepe silk. Inner panels of horsehair and hoop for support. Bodice has center back zipper which continues as inner skirt zipper and is concealed with a hook and eye and small bow at top. Skirt has snaps at center back.

Sundress of brown linen in sheath style. Strapped shoulders. Street length. Center back closure with 8 circular brown plastic buttons and bound buttonholes.Two large patch pockets at sides below waist. Bodice lined in ivory silk. Designer's label at inside left seam near hem: "Traina-Norell / New York" B) Half belt of same fabric. Rounded, open ends of belt buttons onto front left and right sides of dress with two matching brown circular plastic buttons and bound buttonholes.

Dress of cream synthetic fiber with sheer dotted overlay; scoop neckline with cowl collar ending in points at center back; 7 cream floral appliques with rhinestones on collar; princess seams on bodice; 2 horizontal darts across center front; sleeveless; detachable bow at center back; hook and eye and zipper at center back; gathered calf-length skirt; piping detail at waist seam. Sleeveless with modified sweetheart neckline and deep V-shaped back. Full length; full skirt. Raised waist is piped with same fabric. Center back zipper supported with three hook & eyes. Interior of bodice is of matching satin with silver bugle beads and rhinestones at shoulders and is lined in netting with boning. Petersham of white grosgrain ribbon at waist with attached interior peplum support. Understructure of dress is stiffened linen canvas with matching satin lining. Mushroom hat of black felt. Hat is constructed with a wide, low, soft beret-like crown that extends out as a brim would. The underside of the "cap" is of the same material, and the whole is set on a short cylindrical brim which fits on the wearer's head. Unlined, with a black grosgrain ribbon headband. Retailer's label inside: "Made to Order Hat / Bergdorf / Goodman / On The Plaza - New York"

Child's dress of blue cotton slipper satin with striped skirt. A) Dress. Bodice with rounded neckline and peter pan collar, short sleeves, "cropped" horizontal band with four large circular mother-of-pearl buttons. From this band down, skirt is of vertical blue and white stripes. Unlined. Manufacturer's label inside at neck: "Youngland". Paper label affixed to manufacturer's label noting Skillman show, etc. B) Belt. Narrow belt with matching blue fabric on exterior, pale lilac fabric on interior. Blue fabric covered buckle. Stamped on back :"Wiss" and instructions.

Child's sundress of horizontally striped blue, brown, and white cotton de-lusted satin. Rounded neckline, higher in front than back; sleeveless. Neckline and armholes piped in matching blue fabric. Left side closure with five buttons. Full skirt, gathered at waistline with blue piping. Tie belt of same fabric attached at sides and ties in back. Upper bodice lined in cream colored muslin.

Large button of metallic thread attached to crown at front right with three matching buttons hanging from grosgrain ribbon. Lined in brown net; brown grosgrain headband. Evidence of brown net veil, now missing. Designer's label attached to inside brim: "Exclusive Millinery / Pfeifers / Little Rock"

Dress of black wool crepe. Bows at sides. Hook & eye closure curved across back with 3/4 sleeves. Bateau neckline. Unlined.

Cocktail dress of black silk faille peau de soie. Short sleeves. Vertical rouched gather down center back of skirt with bow of self at top and bottom of gather.

Daytime dress of beige silk faille. Princess type fitted waist and midriff, with short "blousey" top. Street length. 3/4 length sleeves. High, slightly "turtleneck" neckline. Waistline with two lines of self-covered circular buttons forming a slight trapezoid across lower stomach area, the lower two on each side securing slit pockets. Center back opening with 8 circular self-covered buttons and two hidden hook-and-eyes from neck to waist, and zipper on inner silk lining layer from neckline to waist, then exterior from waist down. Inner silk lining layer with low squared neckline and sleeveless, which is worn to pull up the lower part of the dress, causing the bodice to "blouse". Bodice lined in off-white polished cotton. Designer's label at inside back neckline to left side of zipper: "Pierre Balmain / Paris" "Made in France" tag below designer's label. Handwritten tape tag near hem: "Fall 1956"

Bright yellow faille suit including a single-breasted jacket with a rounded neckline and a street-length skirt.

Ensemble consisting of green leather jacket and green and black striped knit dress with green leather belt. A) The sheath-style street-length dress is of wool jersey with a knitted pattern of horizontal green and black stripes. It has very short sleeves and a wide boat neckline, and is unlined. B) The dress has an accompanying green leather belt that ends in fringe. C) The street-length coat is of matching green leather, with long sleeves and tuxedo collar that extends to lower hem. The center-front opening has no closures, and there is a welt pocket at each side seam. The coat is lined in the same fabric the dress is made from, and faces the tuxedo collar and opening. There are no designer labels in the garments, and the coat has retailer's label: "Neiman-Marcus / Trophy Room".
