This article uses a mapping project to examine the relationship between a small set of chapels in close proximity to defensive fortresses along the upper Duero in the region of Soria.

Ensemble consisting of two pieces: A) Dress of gray striped cashmere with scoop neckline and long sleeves with rolled hem and edges; wide, horizontal stripes of alternating gray and light gray; tunic-length. B) Coat of discs of laminated news clippings sewn on white jersey knit with wide silver fox trim at neckline, opening, and cuffs; lined in champagne satin; mid-length.

Gown of silver metallic fabric with pointed waistline and large gray metallic floral accent at left shoulder; wide full-length skirt of silver metallic over black/gray petticoat of stiffened net, with a layer of white tulle over the petticoat.

Jumpsuit of champagne satin with strapless bodice and wide leg pants pleated at waistline; bodice is fitted with constructed bust and princess seams; bodice is heavily embellished at the bust with faceted crystal disc beads that fade out just below the waist; center-back zip closure.

Ensemble consisting of: A) Jacket of woven silver metallic, heavy-weight thread in a diamond pattern; scoop neckline; short, raglan sleeves; open-front; reverse pleat at center-back below waistline; crescent, princess seams at back and front; 2 slit pockets at sides; knee-length; fully lined in ivory silk organdy. B) Blouse of off-white silk organza moire, sleeveless and cinched under the armpit; scoop neckline embellished at front with various rectangular pieces of fabric swatches in self-fabric and white knit with triangular and square crystal gem accents; under-layer of self-moire with an extended hem; attached tie at waist sides of white cotton. C) Mini-skirt of ivory crisp woven fabric (wool) with wide waistband, with box pleat at center-front; 2 pleats at back; waistband has double breasted snap closure at back and is lined in ivory silk; center-back zip closure that adjusts to a slit with 2 zipper tabs; lined in silk taffeta; 18 ½” length.

a) Dress of a full-length drop-waist skirt of woven navy drapery fabric with vertical box pleats, and matt black canvas bodice gently gathered into yoke of black vinyl leather; bodice has a U-dip in back with an elastic strap across the opening; sleeveless with straps of black vinyl leather; lined in fine black cotton. b,c) Sandals with chunky embellishment of black leather pods on two straps of black patent leather woven through brown suede; back strap with section of elastic; flat sandal; size 40. d) Handbag of black patent leather with wide strap of dark brown leather with gray fabric strap woven through it; clutch-style bag with silver and leather frame and wide clasp closure; 14” W, 6” H. e) Belt of black fabric with light brown leather at ends; 3/8” width with silver metal, rectangular buckle; 46” length.

Gown of light brown or tan tricot with air-brushed shadowing andsequin and bead embellishments creating a realistic “nude” feminine figure. Sleeveless, jewel neckline, full length, no closures, unlined, with padded cups at the bust.

A) Trench coat; little black slip dress laminated within clear plastic/vinyl trench coat; slip dress has spaghetti straps, and lace trim at upper bodice and hem; trench coat has double breasted front opening; notched collar; buckles at wrists; slanted pocket lapels at hips with no pockets. B) Belt for coat. Long belt of seamed plastic/vinyl, pointed at one end, clear rectangular buckle at other. Divided by seams into 3 horizontal bands.

Evening dress of sequin covered printed silk chiffon in leopard motif. Long sleeves; bateau neckline with deep V-shaped back. Knee length wraparound skirt. Center back zipper closure; line in amber silk.

"T'ai Yuan" A) Kimono robe of red silk with hand-painted image of T'ai Yuan with magenta lotus flower in left hand and blue crane in right hand. B) Tie belt of matching fabric.

A) Kimono robe of black silk with hand-painted image of Hekat female figure. Two purple carp at sides of her head, pink flamingo on her left and shell in her right hand. Evening dress of silk knit in various color blocks of blues, browns, pinks, and yellow. One-shoulder halter style bodice with 2 ¾” shoulder strap and waistband of dark red knit. Some of the geometrical blocks are accented in abstract patterns with gems, beads, and/or sequins. Dress is full-length and slim fitting with 26” slit at center back.
