Hat in the form of a black leather Aviator's Cap. The domed ovoid crown is made in six triangular sections, and has straps which extend down and buckle under the chin with two oval gilt metal links. The cap is lined with black satin, and has an inner black grosgrain ribbon hatband. Designer's label: "Adolfo / New York Paris" Retailer's Label: "Amen Wardy / El Paso Texas"

Bathing or swim cap of rubber covered in bright blue synthetic, coarse hair. Courreges copy. Maker's stamp on inside crown: "Kleinert's / Made in U.S.A. / Back"

Pumps of silver lamé. Designed with a squared toe, the plain uppers have a "sweetheart" shaped vamp embellished with crystal beads in scrolling forms. The thick, chunky heel tapers to base and is rounded at sides and back, covered with same fabric as the rest of the shoe. The shoe is lined in gold leather. Brand stamped inside right shoe: "Erica" Retailer's label stamped inside left shoe: "Neiman Marcus" Handwritten inside: "9LL 1017A / 8b22.3A"

Dress of red polyester silk knit printed in dark red with large abstract pattern of blossoms, leaves, etc. Street length or slightly longer. V-neckline at front with 3/4-length sleeves. Bodice insert with seaming at about natural waist forming a "cummerbund" shape. Skirt is gathered into waist at base of seamed area. Center back zipper with two hook-and-eye closures at back neckline. Torso and skirt lined in red polyester. Arms unlined. Designer's label at inside back beside zipper: "Adele Simpson" Care tag at inside right seam: "Dry / Clean / Only" Union label at inside right seam: "BCTX / 697925"

Day dress of blue and white linen blend(?). Semi-fitted empire bodice with narrow standing collar and short sleeves. Center back zipper closure from neck to hip line with hook&eye at neck. Contrasting white waistband giving the impression of a wide belt. Four blue insets simulate belt loops. Center front lapped detail on "belt" with two bound buttonholes and nonfunctional, round, blue shank buttons. Above-the-knee flared skirt with side seam pockets low on hips. Piece lined in blue and white cotton. Designer's label stitched off-center back, below collar: "Marie McCarthy / for / Larry Aldrich" Retailer's label at bottom left side seam of dress: "Bloomingdale's / Green Room" Union label and size tags on center back inside seam.

Ensemble of navy blue . Jacket. Cropped, single breasted jacket has rounded neckline and no lapels, to allow bow of dress to show. Center front closure of 3 self-covered buttons with bound buttonholes. Long sleeves with double row of snaps around each cuff, for missing cuffs. Lined in blue silk. Designer's label at inside back collar: "George Halley / New York" Retailer's label at right inside near buttons: "Bonwit Teller" Union label and side label at left side seam. Size 6. Dress. Knee-length or slightly longer, with rounded neckline with large blue satin bow at throat. Sleeveless, with wide straps. Bodice seamed, with slightly raised waist into which A-line skirt is gathered. Side slit pockets at hips. Center back zipper. Around neckline are a series of 5 self-covered snaps along left side, and evidence of removed stitches for a collar on right side. Lined in black, with dark mauve band near inner hem. Designer's label at inside left by zipper: "George Halley / New York"

Pumps of red leather and clear vinyl. Designed with broadly rounded toe, the shes have uppers primarily made of clear vinyl edged with red leather. Open heels, with red leather back strap across heel. 1-1/2" heel. Brand stamped inside each: "Kelly Acord" Handwritten in shoes: "5B / 66523 / 40-101"
