Maxi coat of brown and tan striped woven wool. Trimmed and pieced in matching yarn crochet with faux sheep skin around neckline, center front opening and hemline. Hook and eye closure. Lined in brown faille.

Hatlet of brown velvet. The open-crown hat is formed of a hollow square with down-turned sides and corners, covered in brown velvet and edged in tiny pearls. "Flying" around the hat are 8 golden stamped metal hummingbirds. One wing of each bird is hinged, allowing movement of the birds as the wearer moves their head. Over all is a brown net veil "capturing" the hummingbirds, with scattered gathers of 4 pearls. The underside is edged in brown grosgrain ribbon, and has two small plastic combs attached to secure hatlet to wearer's head. Sewn onto the inner ribbon is maker's label: "Bes-Ben / Made in Chicago". Also sewn onto inner ribbon is hand-written label "917". Measurements: 14 x 15 cm. without net; 10 cm. from base of brim to highest tip of bird wing.

Pair of shoes of navy blue leather. The shoes are designed with square toes and dark leather uppers. A wide rectangular panel of navy blue simulated reptile skin extends from the toe, up the vamp, below an oval cut-out in the vamp, and up the instep to create a tongue. The 2 1/4" high heel is covered with same blue leather, and tapers to base. Shift style day dress of oatmeal crochet knit wool. The mid-length dress is of a seed-stitch knit with Peter Pan collar and short sleeves. The collar, upper lapel edge and sleeves are finished with a single stitch crochet binding/edging. Double-breasted with ten self-covered circular buttons arranged in two vertical rows of five each. Dress opens along left vertical row with a single snap and a single small hidden button and loop to secure upper left of panel under collar. Unlined. Black band inside lower hem. Designer's label inside at back near collar: "Norman Norell / New York". Union label inside at hem, partly hidden by hem: 625687.

Dress of black bouclé wool. Empire waistline. Short, puffed sleeves with black satin piping at hem; gathers reinforced at shoulders with stiff black fabric.
