This article uses a mapping project to examine the relationship between a small set of chapels in close proximity to defensive fortresses along the upper Duero in the region of Soria.

Pair of cream pumps. Designed with rounded toe, the shoes are of a cream mesh with embroidered with floral motifs, giving a lace effect. The high heel is covered in cream satin, and tapers to base. Stamped inside: "Arsho for / Shoe Biz" Stamped on soles: "Leather / Leder / Cuir / Made in Spain" and "7 1/2 B"

Pair of women's sandals of silver metallic leather. Designed as "gladiator style" sandals, with six narrow silver leather criss-crossed or interwoven straps at front over vamp, and six more similar straps extending around ankle and originating from vertical band at heel. 5" zipper along heel band. Designer's label on both sides of sole: "Barbara Bui" Impressed on underside of sole: "Made in Spain" and "40". Attached sticker under sole showing pictograms indicating which parts of shoe are leather. Measurements: L: 25 cm. W: 9.5 cm. H: 17 cm. Heel: 1/2 cm.

Pair of heeled pumps of red calf leather. Designed with squared toes, the uppers are constructed to create a high instep tongue with red elastic at sides, and a red leather band across instep and tongue, secured with a small buckle covered with same leather. The cylindrical heel is covered by same red leather. Maker's label inside: "Created by / Navaton / Made in Spain" Stamped inside: "500 772 6 1/2" Measurements: Length: 23 cm. Width: 9 cm.
