Rahila Basumatary describes her experience during the 2022 Assam floods. In this recording, she describes how the flood would suddenly rise when they lived near the hills as children. Her residence, she claims, was at the base of the mountain. She claimed that the water would rise every 5 minutes, invade the houses, and wash everything away. As a result, the fireplace was destroyed, and the foodstuffs were carried away and mixed with the drinking water, which they later had to filter using sand. She also discusses the 2009 solar eclipse, when the sky darkened quickly and the water swelled over the surface level, sweeping away the animals and poultry. Recorded in Gogamukh, Rangpuriya.
