Algorithmically Optimized Hemispherical Dome as a Secondary Optical Element for the Fresnel Lens Solar Concentrator
This article focuses on a way to maximize the concentration acceptance product (CAP), while using the minimum SOE and receiver geometry at a given f-number and incidence angle (also referred to as the tracking error angle). The laws of polychromatic light refraction along with trigonometry and spherical geometry were utilized to optimize the POE grooves, SOE radius, receiver size, and SOE–receiver spacing.

Biochar aerogel-based electrocatalyst towards efficient oxygen evolution in acidic media
Article argues that traditional acidic oxygen evolution reaction (OER) electrocatalysts are more prone to be oxidized and corroded as results of unstable carrier structures and variable electronic states of active species, so a high-performing biochar aerogel (BA) based electrocatalyst was realistically designed and synthetized via joint utilization of the terrestrial lignin and seaweed polysaccharide as carbon sources. This work puts forward a novel and effective strategy towards the enhancement of the acidic OER process by rational regulations of the BA and the coupling effect in micro-interface.

Collaborative Research: SaTC: CORE: Small: Privacy protection of Vehicles location in Spatial Crowdsourcing under realistic adversarial models
Data management plan for the grant, "Collaborative Research: SaTC: CORE: Small: Privacy protection of Vehicles location in Spatial Crowdsourcing under realistic adversarial models." Research to develop new location privacy protection techniques by considering vehicles’ mobility features in the road network, and consequently lead to a more secure and trustworthy computing environment in location-based services (LBSs). As privacy concerns are still among the main obstacles for mobile users to participate in many advanced LBSs, this project is poised to contribute to the wider adoption of LBSs for many applications (e.g. navigation systems and location-based recommendation systems). The project will also provide a set of diverse and interesting topics for undergraduate and graduate students and outreach activities for the community.
