Edwards also is in support of the discipline-based approach to teaching of the art as it not only encourages studio art training but reinforces other goals like improved reading, interdisciplinary studies and high lever activities. Edwards is pleased with the program and what opportunities it offers their students.

Reminding them of the meeting at the Multicultural Seminar at the Dallas Museum of Art February 29th, and asks of them to bring their school's work in the NTIEVA Educational Exhibit. If the specialists are unable to make it that day to call the NTIEVA office to make arrangements for them to acquire their work. Confirming a planned meeting of the Advisory Committee for North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts on Wednesday, March 4, 1992. The meeting will be held at the Amon Carter Museum in Fort Worth with Jan Muhlert as chair of the Advisory Committee. Davis and McCarter have enclosed an agenda for the meeting which will go over a number of topics. O'Donnell thanks Davis for his interest in the Young Audiences project and for copying video tape material for O'Donnell and her staff. O'Donnell says she was interested in hearing about Davis's experience with fiber optics and distance learning and hopes the Museum will allow the proper wiring to allow them to be on the cutting edge for arts education.
