A series of internal focus groups have revealed that traditional structures continue to silo and homogenize collections. How can libraries better design electronic collections to serve the needs of underserved users? It was presented at the Electronic Resources & Libraries conference held on March 8-11, 2021.

Presentation sharing research on job advertisements for cataloging manager positions in academic libraries from 2015 through 2020. The presenters discuss how required and preferred qualifications have evolved over time. Recommendations for writing job advertisements to promote equity, diversity, and inclusion are provided. It was presented virtually for the ALA Core Role of the Professional Librarian in Technical Services Interest Group (RPLTS) Core IG Week program, on March 9, 2022.

Presentation on the University of North Texas Libraries’ implementation of Faceted Application of Subject Terminology (FAST) headings in their catalog. It was presented at the American Library Association's (ALA) Core Interest Group Week event which was held virtually on July 26-30, 2021.

In this presentation, catalogers from a large academic library share how they make e-resources discoverable through their approach to record quality assessment, batch editing with regular expressions in MarcEdit, and record load tracking. The presenters also provided handouts with helpful information about their processes and procedures.

Poster highlighting virtual outreach events to engage students during the COVID-19 pandemic. These events utilized Zoom’s video conferencing technology and aimed to be entertaining while also promoting the library’s virtual reference services.

Presentation used to report the evaluation of UNT Libraries’ holdings supporting the curriculum and research in the area of languages and literatures. This collection analysis was focused on the four languages which undergraduates and graduate degrees are offered, including literatures and cultures.

The presentation examines the considerations and processes for collaborating on scholarship from the perspective of academic librarians. It includes how to choose team members, facilitate collaboration and organize all the elements of a project to create a successful publication or presentation. Also included are administrative responsibilities, thoughts on handling problems, and examples of delineating responsibilities. It was presented at the Cross Timbers Library Collaborative Conference held on August 7, 2020.

Presentation is a follow-up on work from the UNT Libraries regarding compiled data from the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) and its comparison to UNT holdings. Journal usage data has been added to provide a more complete answer to the original question posed previously. The presentation focuses less on the technology and steps for gathering this data, and more on the results and the limitations of such an analysis. It was presented at the Cross Timbers Library Collaborative Conference held on August 7, 2020.
