This document narrates a presentation given at the national meeting of the Music Library Association in Dallas, Texas in 2012. The report gives details about sheet music collections that can be found in the University of North Texas' music library as well as a brief history about what has been played on the radio and how it has evolved.

The "Aligning National Approaches to Digital Preservation" (ANADP) conference was held at the National Library of Estonia, from May 23-25, 2011. More than 125 delegates from more than 20 countries were gathered in Tallinn, Estonia and explored how to create and sustain international collaborations to support the preservation of digital cultural memory. This publication contains a collection of peer-reviewed essays that were developed by conference panels and attendees in the months following ANADP.

This appendix document is a report on the status of a two-phase transfer test being carried out between the MetaArchive Cooperative and Chronopolis. These tests aim to demonstrate a proof-of-concept that the MetaArchive network may use Chronopolis's data grid preservation service as an exit strategy in the event that either MetaArchive or LOCKSS becomes unsustainable in the future.

This appendix document describes the preparation of archival units residing on a LOCKSS file system that have been designated for packaging and exchange with a non-LOCKSS-based preservation environment-in this case an iRODS grid-based environment.

These tools are designed to facilitate the transfer of data contained within a number of LOCKSS archival units and packaged into bags. The bags are then transferred to the iRODS grid. The user has the option of creating and sending filled bags, or holey bags. The primary tools are written in Python, and make use of the iRODS command line utilities for data transfer.

The purpose of this document is to explain the PREMIS Event microservice as prototyped for the MetaArchive Cooperative, primarily from a developer's standpoint. The document will attempt to explain the purpose of the microservice, the underlying principles on which it operates, and a practical example of its usage. .This report describes the evolution of China’s domestic climate-change policy over the period 1988-2011, using the Advocacy Coalition Framework (ACF) to explore the policy change. Policy development has been gradual, with the most notable change occurring in 2007, when the National Climate Change Programme elevated climate change to a national policy issue.The ACF points to socioeconomic development and the Climate Change Advocacy Coalition’s policy-oriented learning as explanations for the development of climate-change policy in China.

The goal of this review is to identify ways to strengthen the links between scientific and technical knowledge with action on climate change adaptation. The study focuses on the impacts of climate change on agriculture and rural development, the two sectors thought to be most vulnerable. It draws on a literature review for context, but employs case study research as its main methodology.

The Chinese government attaches great importance to the issue of climate change.It defines the objectives, tasks and policy orientation of China’s response to climate change over the next five years and identifies key tasks, including controlling greenhouse gas emissions, adapting to climate change, and strengthening international cooperation.

This report – Green Carbon, Black Trade – by UNEP and INTERPOL focuses on illegal logging and its impacts on the lives and livelihoods of often some of the poorest people in the world set aside the environmental damage. It underlines how criminals are combining old fashioned methods such as bribes with high tech methods such as computer hacking of government web sites to obtain transportation and other permits. The report spotlights the increasingly sophisticated tactics being deployed to launder illegal logs through a web of palm oil plantations, road networks and saw mills.

The 6th “State of the Voluntary Carbon Markets” report shows a significant increase in demand from buyers in the US and major changes in the mix of offsets capturing market share, such as record sales of offsets from Asian wind farms and the coming-of-age of clean development projects in Africa.
