The purpose of this study is to provide a measurement of selected parental attitudes and an evaluation of the effectiveness of Parent Groups as instruments for promoting attitude changes in a positive direction.

The problem of this study was to measure attitudinal and personality changes that took place in junior college counselors as a result of a short-term group counseling institute.

It was the purpose of this study to determine whether one or a combination of adult readability formulas, when applied to shorthand dictation material, could predict difficulty, as well as to develop a shorthand formula for this specific purpose. In addition, the questions of comparative reliability and practicability were tested with respect to the two kinds of formulas as applied to the shorthand material.

The purpose of this study was to determine, whether there was a significant difference in the leisure reading habits of two groups of women who were college graduates; one group of elementary classroom teachers, grades one through six, and another group of women who were not teachers.

This study investigated adolescents' perception of parental behavior toward them and its relationship with sex, delinquency, and security. The study sought first to identify from both the popular and professional literature the principal roles of the three main component areas of criminal justice (police, courts, and corrections). The problem of this study was to investigate the effect of an in-service program utilizing Benjamin S. Bloom (Ed.) and others' Taxonomy of Educational Objectives, Handbook I: Cognitive Domain (Bloom's Taxonomy) on (1) the self-concept of experienced secondary English teachers and social studies teachers, (2) the cognitive level of test items on teacher-made examinations, and (3) the attitude changes toward school subjects as rated b students.

This study was undertaken with four purposes in mind: (1) to describe the extent to which faculty members are now involved in decision-making in Texas junior colleges as reported by four reference groups: (a) board chairmen, (b) junior college presidents, (c) faculty association presidents, and (d) other faculty members; (2) to describe the opinions of these groups relative to the extent to which faculty members should be involved in decision-making; (3) to describe the opinions of the four reference groups in regard to some characteristics of existing faculty organizations; and (4) to make recommendations for junior college faculty organization and participation in decision-making in Texas junior colleges.

The purposes of this study were to describe the North Texas State University campus environment as perceived by the students, to compare perceptions of certain of the campus environmental characteristics with those of other colleges and universities throughout the nation, and to compare selected subgroups within the student body with respect to their perceptions of campus environmental characteristics.

The purposes of the study were (1) to describe the historical rationale for teacher certification, (2) to survey and report the present requirement of the states for certification as a vocational office education teacher-coordinator, (3) to survey leading business and office education educators for recommendations for vocational office education teacher-coordinator certification requirements, (4) to examine, survey, and report the characteristics and qualifications of employed vocational office education teacher-coordinators, and (5) to develop a model of criteria representing ideal standards for initial and continuing certification requirements for vocational office education teacher-coordinators.

The purpose of the study was to demonstrate that certain fundamental insights of psychoanalysis and pragmatism, heretofore seen as mutually exclusive, are, in fact, complementary, and uniquely augment, supplement, and clarify each other. The purpose of this paper was to investigate the structure and process of selected social influences during adolescence in one large high school. It was hypothesized that adolescents would be more oriented to peers and activities outside school and less oriented to academics, athletics, and other school-related activities. The study sought to answer questions about the social climate of the adolescent in a large high school and to analyze the implications of these findings for administrators and others who are interested in the optimum adjustment of teenagers.

The present study was undertaker, to examine the effects of various methods of training during the practicum experience upon subsequent counselor trainees' behavior and skill. This study has a two-fold purpose. The first is to examine which of two methods of training was most effective in producing behavioral changes in counselor trainees during a five month practicum situation. The second is to compare the effects of these forms of training with a control group which did not utilize the training procedures.

The purposes of the study are to identify factors of creativity which have been revealed in the fields of personality and cognitive theory, art education, and science, and to formulate a base for a theory of creativity.
