Presentation on the creation and use of instructional videos in the UNT Libraries. This poster presentation describes their video production process, how these videos have supported student learning, and an example of an instructional video we created. Instructional videos are one major online resource that the University of North Texas Libraries provides to students. Librarians create a variety of online videos on topics that supplement course materials and instruction sessions. It was presented at the 2021 Texas Library Association (TLA) Library Instruction Round Table Annual Summit which was held virtually on October 15, 2021.

This presentation highlights an online program developed to introduce academic librarians to pedagogy and describes the overall outline of the program, the structure of the modules, and the implementation plan for this program. It was presented at the 2020 Cross Timbers Library Collaborative Conference held virtually on August 7, 2020.

Presentation covers a 5-step video creation workflow to produce educational videos. It was presented at the 2021 Virtual Conference of the Texas Distance Learning Association (TxDLA) held on April 20-23, 2021.

This presentation focuses on how the University of North Texas (UNT) Libraries was able to develop a successful partnership with the UNT Office of Innovation and Commercialization (OIC) and move outside the Libraries’ normal sphere of influence to help create a patent internship program for students. It is a presentation for a contributed paper at the Texas Library Association 2020 Virtual Summer of Learning conference.

This presentation explores building your own community of practice, addressing mindsets that may limit ideas, and discusses different approaches and frameworks for forming and maintaining communities of practice within online professional development.
