This presentation is a workshop that provides a structured program of five mindfulness exercises to help individuals learn how to develop mindfulness practices that may be useful when studying. The program is connected to an optional research study on mindfulness programming in libraries.

Outreach has a positive impact on student success, but a clear definition of what outreach is looms beyond the literature. Intermixed with marketing, advertising, broader engagement methods, and social media use, outreach has become a catch-all term for activities that bring awareness to library resources, services, programs, spaces, and employees. It was presented at the UNT Libraries' Public Services Conversation Hour, an internal, divisional peer learning and training program.

Presentation with speakers' notes describing the Trans Accessible Libraries Initiative at the University of North Texas Libraries. This initiative uses findings documented in recent studies addressing information seeking behaviors of transgender persons and their perceptions of the library to provide more equitable access to their services and collections. The presentation shares the needs assessment, collection development process, promotion and outreach, and next steps related to this initiative in hopes that other libraries can modify them to serve marginalized populations in their communities.

Presentation describing the process to create an annotated bibliography using GitHub so multiple users could access and contribute to it. The authors share some background, learning resources, problems, and how to contribute to the GitHub site.

This presentation highlights a curriculum mapping project at the University of North Texas Libraries. The project seeks to improve the capacity of UNT students for critical thinking and the ability to use information effectively. The key aim of the initiative was to strengthen core library services to enhance high-impact practices. It was presented at the Cross-Timbers Library Collaborative 2019 Conference held by Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas.
