Extended Date/Time Format (EDTF) Dates Research Datasets
Two datasets, each with 390,751 date samples from the UNT Libraries' digital collections. These samples were compiled for research regarding the Extended Date/Time Format (EDTF) standard. The first dataset contains a concatenated list of date values from the metadata records in The Portal to Texas History, the UNT Digital Library, and The Gateway to Oklahoma History. The "classified" dataset includes labels expressing whether each date is EDTF-valid and the level of conformance.

PREMIS Event Service
This presentation discusses the PREMIS Event Service. The University of North Texas (UNT) Libraries has created a digital library infrastructure that is designed using the Curation Micro Services methodology for building repositories. Based on modular components designed for reuse and re-configuration the authors propose a general-purpose preservation event logging system using the PREMIS Event and Agent data model.

This is the final report for the EOTCD project, which is formally titled 'Classification of the End-of-Term Archive: Extending Collection Development Practices to Web Archives.' Introduction to METS: UNT Libraries' Tech Talks
This Tech Talk presentation explores METS. The Metadata Encoding and Transmission Standard (METS) is an initiative of the Digital Library Federation. Maintained by the Library of Congress, it provides a standard vocabulary and set of data structures for encoding hierarchical digital object content and metadata. In this presentation the author explains more about these parts of METS, and discusses how METS may be applicable to digital collections in the UNT Libraries.
