The purpose of this study was to prepare a rating scale to be applied as an objective basis in the selection of business arithmetic textbooks. After the rating scale was developed, it was then applied to a number of recently published texts to demonstrate its use and practical value.

A study to revise the commercial curriculum of Gladewater High School to fit the needs of potential graduates.

The aim of this study was to suggest adjustments for the commercial curricula of Lafayette County and to determine the vocational opportunities for commercial graduates of the smaller and medium-sized high schools in a small section of central Missouri.

In Peters and Pomeroy's fourth edition of Commercial Law, a number of cases are cited where there is a difference between the laws and rulings of the various states. There are only three cases in which the difference is given. The procedure was to find all of the cases in which there is any doubt as to the Texas law, and to quote the law or ruling as given by Peters and Pomeroy, and then to give the law or ruling of the State of Texas.

The purpose of this study is to determine the organization, content, and method of presentation for a course of study in the principles and problems of business for the college student beginning his study in business education.

"The survey of commercial job opportunities in the City of McAllen, Texas, was undertaken for the purpose of determining: 1. The numerical importance of training for the different kinds of local commercial positions. 2. Information to be used in the revision of the commercial curriculum of the McAllen Senior High School and in the vocational guidance of students, and in the placement of graduates. 4. The importance and kinds of office equipment in general use locally. 5. The means by which employers of the City of McAllen, Texas, obtain commercial employees. A local survey seemed desirable in order to understand the local situation and needs in regard to commercial courses offered in the high school, and to revise the commercial curriculum intelligently."--leaf 1.

This survey presents views of department store officials on what they expect from their employees in an effort to improve the training of stenographers and secretaries.

The purpose of this problem is to make a comparative study between Gregg Shorthand and Thomas Natural Shorthand. The problem is to compare the learning difficulties of the two systems, and to determine which system is easier to read and write by comparing the rules and principles and the writing fluency.

This study was undertaken for the purpose of finding the standard requirements and qualifications demanded of employees by the sales, sales service, and executive divisions of the average department stores, and the rewards and benefits enjoyed by the employees for faithful and efficient service rendered to the organization.

The purpose of the survey was to study the business organizations from the standpoint of type, number of office employees, and the type and number of office machines used, in order that the commercial courses of the Kingsville High School could be patterned to these business needs.
