This study was made: first, to determine the vocational opportunities for commercial graduates of Denton Senior High School as a basis for more effective guidance; second, to determine whether the commercial training program in the local high school is providing adequate vocational preparation for the principal commercial positions in Denton, Texas, third, to discover the chief commercial weaknesses of the present employees in Denton, Texas; fourth, to secure information necessary for appropriate commercial curriculum for the local high school. The Effectiveness of the Conservation of Human Beings and of Soil by the CCC Camp in Denton, Texas

The organization of the Emergency Conservation Work was found to possess many faults. The Seventy-Fifth Congress, taking cognizance of some of the more glaring imperfections, approved a measure reorganizing and re-establishing the Emergency Conservation Work under the name of The Civilian Conservation Corp. The bill eliminated many of the defects of the former organization, and invested authority and defined duties and regulations in such a manner that a more efficient institution resulted.

This study investigated mercury-sensitized photochemical action on a mixture of isobutane and isobutene. Flow runs of isobutane-isobutene 3.2.1 mercury-saturated gases illuminated with unfiltered radiation of mercury vapor lamp gave no detectable change to hydrocarbons heavier than C4 at reaction tempratures of 27C. and 99C.

A Study of Soil Erosion and its Control in the United States with Special Reference to Texas

A study of soil erosion in the United States, especially in Texas, which brings attention to the causes of soil erosion under the existing system of farm management. The material gathered and compiled and arranged under certail main heading. Two chapters deal with present and immediate causes of erosions and their results. One full chapter takes up the history of the conservation movement and attempts to show how slow Texans have been in comparison with some of the other states of the United States. The study calls for further research, teaching of better land-use, raising awareness of soil erosion causes and conditions.
