The purpose of the present investigation is to make a study of the growth and trends of the social studies curriculum in the schools of Texas from pioneer days up to the present time, 1948.

The problem of this study is to determine the efficiency of the transportation systems of eight Class B schools of Wise County, Texas.

The purpose of this study is to determine the extent of pupil failure in the seventh and eighth grades of the Cleburne Junior High School, to determine to what extent certain mental characteristics contribute to pupil failure and success, and to submit some suggestions as to how pupil failure may be reduced to a minimum in the seventh and eighth grades of the Cleburne Junior High School, Cleburne, Texas.

The purpose of this study is to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed guidance program for the Beaumont High School.

The purposes involved in this paper are stated as follows: (1) To present data on the intellectual development of the deaf and hard of hearing children. (2) To present case studies of the deaf and hard of hearing children. (3) To present data bearing on the relationship between audio-deficiency and academic achievements of the deaf and the hard of hearing children. (4) To present data on personality traits of a comparable group of hard of hearing and normal children.
