Mr. Heller also informs Mr. Kempner that while the clocks he is looking for are made in Germany, they cannot be bought in Germany as they are export only. He also talks about creating official 'H. Kempner' Christmas cards to be sent out to mills around Europe.

She is described as a 70-year-old lady of German descent in need of a place in a home for elderly ladies due to her inability to continue manual labor. He believes $500 could be raised for her and suggests that the bank's influence could aid in this charitable case. Miss Anspach is commended for her refined upbringing and Kempner asks Mr. Irvine for help in the matter.

Löning informs Kempner that he is the confidential attorney of the American consulate-general in Bremen, Germany but expressing his desire to be reunited with his family in the states.
