The letters concern a planned demonstration by a visiting doctor and the progress of a patient with an unusual medical condition. The doctors discuss the results of scientific experiments and research.

Letter from Dr. Meyer Bodansky to Dr. Bela Halpret of Louisiana State University enclosed with a copy of correspondence with Dr. Henry Cohen involving the immigration of a doctor from Hungary to the United States. The curriculum vitae of the immigrant doctor is included in the copied correspondence.

Letters between Dr. Meyer Bodansky and Frank P. Malloy, dated November 10 and 28, 1939. The first letter, which is from Dr. Malloy of Malloy and Sons, expresses sorrow that Dr. Bodansky will be moving out of his house. He thanks Dr. Bodansky for past favors, and informs him that he has included a bill for one month's rent. The second letter, which is a response from Dr. Bodansky, thanks Mr. Malloy for being a considerate landlord, and informs him that a rent check is included with the letter.

Letters between Dr. Meyer Bodansky, who is from the University of Texas School of Medicine, and Dr. James B. McNaught, who is from the School of Medicine at Stanford University. The first letter is from Dr. McNaught, and is dated November 10, 1939. The letter informs Dr. Bodansky that he is being sent two live rats for experimentation. The letter continues to explain specific details on how to go about performing an experiment that observes how rats respond to a trichinosis infection. The second letter, which is a response from Dr. Bodansky, is dated November 16, 1939. The letter thanks Dr. McNaught for sending the rats, and states that a refund is included for the cost of shipping the animals.

Letter from Meyer Bodansky in reply to a letter from George V. Smith. Dr. Smith's letter sends his regrets that he is out of reprints of several items Dr. Bodansky has requested and passes along greetings to several of Dr. Bodansky's colleagues. Dr. Bodansky's reply thanks Dr. Smith and for the reprints and assures that he will pass on the personal messages.

Letter from Wilson D. Langley to Dr. Meyer Bodansky offering editorial advice and proofreading suggestions for text recently sent to him. Mr. Langley lists several pages and specific areas that could be improved or possibly contain errors.

Letter from J. N. Myers, who is the Manager of the Medical-Public Health Department at the Macmillan Company, to Dr. Meyer Bodansky. The letter, which is dated October 10, 1939, informs Dr. Bodansky that a copy of a signed contract concerning the publication of his work by the company is enclosed with the letter.

Letter from Dr. M. B. Shimkin to Dr. Meyer Bodansky, thanking him for a recommendation that helped cement him in his position with the United State Public Health Service. Dr. Shimkin writes about his experiences and several of the doctors with whom he is working. In addition, Dr. Shimkin mentions several fellowships being offered and asks Dr. Bodansky for any referrals.

Letter from Dr. E. H. Volwiler to Dr. Meyer Bodansky, confirming the receipt of a recent letter and informing Dr. Bodansky that Dr. Volwiler will not be in attendance and available to meet at a conference in St. Louis. The letter, however, refers Dr. Bodansky to Dr. J. F. Biehn, a colleague of Dr. Volwiler.
