Letters between Dr. Meyer Bodansky, Adrian Marshall, and Rose Framer. The first letter is handwritten and dated September 4, 1939 by Mr. Marshall. In the letter, Mr. Marshall explains that he is unable attend his third year at the American University of Beirut because travel has been ceased overseas in light of the current war in Europe. Due to the circumstances, Mr. Marshall requests admission to the University of Texas School of Medicine. The letterhead reads, "Adolph Marshall, 300 Ocean Parkway, Brooklyn, N.Y.", however the "Adolph" on the first page is scratched out and replaced with a handwritten "Adrian". The second letter is from Ms. Framer, who responds that Dr. Bodansky is on vacation and will respond to Mr. Marshall's letter as soon as he is back in town. The last letter is a response to Mr. Marshall from Dr. Bodansky. He informs Mr. Marshall that he is ineligible for admission because the University of Texas only accepts in-state resident students.
