In the letter, which is dated October 10, 1940, Dr. Bodansky explains to Dr. Spies that after a visit to A and M College, he would like to pursue research concerning his personal interest in the insulin insufficiency in sheep. Dr. Bodansky requests that Dr. Spies reply with a response to this.

Letter to Merck and Company from Dr. Meyer Bodansky, dated October 2, 1940. In the letter, Dr. Bodansky requests a copy of an article that was currently published in the company's journal, "The Merck Report". Dr. Bodansky also requests to stay updated on any reports related to the subject of the article.

Letters between Dr. Meyer Bodansky, from the John Sealy Hospital, and John F. Pilcher, from Terrell's Laboratories. In the second letter, which is from Dr. Pilcher and dated October 8, 1940, Dr. Pilcher inquires as to whether Dr. Bodansky knows of any candidates for an open position as a technician at Terrell's Laboratories. The first letter, which is dated October 10, 1940, is a response from Dr. Bodansky. In the letter, Dr. Bodansky recommends one potential candidate for the job opening. He also expresses his desire to work with Dr. Pilcher, and asks if he would want to submit a research paper to be presented at an upcoming conference.

Letters between Dr. Anna M. Young, Chairman of the General Research Committee of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, and Dr. Meyer Bodansky, also a Chairman of the Chemistry Division of the committee. The second letter, which is dated October 1, 1940, concerns the decision of the recipient of the Ward Burdick Award, which the committee decides on. The letter also discusses open plans for a scientific exhibit in the summer of the following year. The first letter, which is dated October 5, 1940 is a response from Dr. Bodansky in regard to the previous letter.

The letters include an invitation from Dr. Lovelace to Dr. Bodansky to attend a meeting while in Boston and a thank-you letter from Dr. Bodansky for the invitation. There is also a letter from Dr. Johnson that expresses his appreciation for Dr. Bodansky's future and past trips to Ann Arbor, Michigan and a response from Dr. Bodansky. There is handwriting and hand-drawn graphs on the back of the last letter from Dr. Carl Lovelace, who is from the Amicable Life Insurance Company.

Letters between Dr. Meyer Bodansky, Dr. John W. Spies, who is the Dean of the Medical Branch at the University of Texas, and Dr. Jarrett E. Williams, who is the assistant Dean. The letters, which are dated from October 24, 1940 to November 5, 1940 all concern Dr. Bodansky's research on the insulin insufficiency in sheep. Two of the letters are identical copies.

Telegram from Dr. L. A. Herbert to Dr. Meyer Bodansky at the John Sealy Hospital, dated October 8, 1940. The telegram reads, "Has blood chemistry been completed. If so, wire report".

Letter from Dr. D. R. Hooker to Dr. Bodansky informing him he presented Dr. Bodansky's suggestion of a reviews paper on the relation of creatine to myocardial efficiency at the Editorial Conference in Chicago.

Letter from Dr. Hugh Jeter, Associate Professor of Clinical Pathology at the University Hospital in Oklahoma City, to Dr. Meyer Bodansky. The letter, which is dated October 8, 1940, informs Dr. Bodansky that Dr. Jeter has a job opening at the hospital for an Assistant Director of Laboratories. Dr. Jeter summarizes the qualities and qualifications of an ideal candidate, and requests that Dr. Bodansky ask potential applicants to contact him directly.

Letter to Dr. Meyer Bodansky from F. Kraus of the Medicinal Specialty Department of the Merck & Co. Inc. Manufacturing Chemists. The letter expresses the company's appreciation of Dr. Bodansky's interest in it's scientific research publications, and informs him that a copy of a requested brochure is being sent to him.

Letter to Dr. Meyer Bodansky from Dr. Moise D. Levy, from the Medical Arts Building in Houston, Texas. In the letter, which is dated October 10, 1940, Dr. Levy informs Dr. Bodansky that s/he has received a copy of one of his publications. S/he thanks him for the book and wishes him a "pleasant Yom Kippur".

Anderson of the State Medical Association of Texas has requested that his office be put on the mailing list for the School of Medicine, the College of Nursing, and the Laboratory Technicians Program bulletins at the University of Texas. He also requests a copy of Dr. Bodansky's letter to Dr. Anderson.

The last letter, which is handwritten by Dr. Marshall, informs Dr. Bodansky that he has forwarded eight reprints of articles that deal with dental pathology. Dr. Marshall also informs Dr. Bodansky that he and his students enjoy and use several of his books. The first letter is a response from Dr. Bodansky; it thanks Dr. Marshall for the forwarding of reprints and for his kind words of encouragement.
