Letter from Dr. Meyer Bodansky to Dr. H. W. Newman requesting reprints of a recently published article so that Dr. Bodansky and several colleagues can write a review of the article.

Letter from Dr. Meyer Bodansky to Dr. H. A. Heise, requesting a copy of a recent article by Dr. Heise so that it can be reprinted in another journal along with several tables and charts.

Letter from Dr. Oscar Bodansky to a man named Mike in response to a prior letter complaining about the lack of or style of bibliographical notations in a chapter written for a textbook. Dr. Bodansky gives his reasons for believing the citations to be acceptable and outlines several other issues, which the men must discuss, concerning the textbook.

Letter from Dr. Meyer Bodansky to Dr. E. H. Volwiler, requesting new grant money for research fellowships and further research opportunities. Dr. Bodansky outlines three areas (cactus physiology and its effect on human diseases, regulation of fetal and maternal calcium interchange, and the pharmacology of paraldehyde) that he wishes to fund with the new grant money if it should be awarded.

Correspondence between Dr. Meyer Bodansky and Dr. David Sacks discussing an article written by Dr. Sacks which is being considered for publication. Dr. Sacks asks for Dr. Bodansky's opinions regarding the content of the article and for input as to which journal he should seek out to publish the work. Dr. Bodansky replies with the names of several journals for publication and several suggestions of how to improve the article for publication.

Letter from Dr. Meyer Bodansky to Dr. E. K. Marshall to requesting permission to reproduce a figure for a review of a recently published article. Dr. Bodansky states that the author has already given permission for the figure to be reproduced.

Letter from Dr. Meyer Bodansky to Dr. C. V. Mosby, requesting permission to reproduce portions of an article for a separate periodical which will soon be publishing a review of that article.

Letter from Dr. Meyer Bodansky to Dr. A. J. Goldforb, Editor of the College of the City of New York. Dr. Bodansky asks for Dr. Goldforb's permission to reproduce a figure from a previous publication for use in an article being written about alcohol methods. He explains that he has already received permission from the author of the figure.

Letter from E. H. Volwiler of the Abbott Chemical Laboratory to Dr. Meyer Bodansky, thanking Dr. Bodansky for a recent letter and outlining the laboratory's inability to provide grant funding for several projects Dr. Bodansky has proposed. In his reply letter, Dr. Bodansky acknowledges this and pushes the possibility of including several other research plans as possibilities for funding.

Letter from John G. Sinclair, Edward H. Schwab, and Jarrett E. Williams to all NYA Supervisors. The letter outlines the process for reporting the work of all NYA employees to an academic dean. It lists all items to be contained in the report and how to submit the reports.

Letter from Dr. Meyer Bodansky to Dr. Harold J. Hertz, of the Mount Sinai Hospital of Cleveland, giving Dr. Hertz advice about how to choose a location to begin a career in medicine. Dr. Bodansky notes several reasons to not choose Galveston, but instead to look in a multitude of other places first. Dr. Hertz's attached letter denotes finding Dr. Bodansky through a fellow fraternity brother and asks for advice as Dr. Hertz wishes to relocate to Texas to begin his medical career.

Letter from Dr. Meyer Bodansky to Dr. Anna M. Young confirming his attendance at the general meeting of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and his ability to present a report in connection with the Chemical Research Committee, of which he is chair. Attached is a letter from Dr. Young reminding Dr. Bodansky about the meeting and requesting that he present a report on the activities of his committee.

Letter from Dr. Meyer Bodansky to Dr. Solomon C. Martin, declining an invitation to submit an article for a journal. Attached is Dr. Martin's letter inviting Dr. Bodansky's submission to the Urologic & Cutaneous Review, citing several reasons why the journal will receive a large reading audience.

Letters between Dr. Meyer Bodansky, Dr. John W. Spies, and Dr. James W. McClendon, dated from April 27 to August 14, 1939. The letter that is dated August 14, 1939, which is from Dr. Spies, explains that he is returning the two letters addressed to and from Dr. McClendon to Dr. Bodansky. The letter from Dr. McClendon to Dr. Spies is typed on a Court of Civil Appeals letterhead. It requests that someone review a medical research book written by his brother The letter to Dr. McClendon from Dr. Bodansky, who was asked to review the book, includes an analysis and a note of congratulations. Two copies of this analysis are included in the document.

Letter from Dr. Meyer Bodansky to Mr. L. Kelly of the Williams and Wilkins Company. Dr. Bodansky notes a payment he has made to this creditor and admonishes the Williams and Wilkins Company for not taking into account the time and labor put in by Dr. Bodansky when calculating payments.

Correspondence between Dr. Carl P. Sherwin and Dr. Meyer Bodansky. Dr. Sherwin's letter gives his extreme thanks at the receipt of a copy of Dr. Bodansky's recently published textbook and his opinion that it is the premier book in its area. Dr. Bodansky's reply delights in Dr. Sherwin's kind review and begins arrangements to visit Dr. Sherwin in New York.
